As it turned out various parts of our home required 2 and 3 long wood heavy boards. The company sent out 3 teams and these hard working gentlemen did a PROFESSIONAL, PERFECT JOB. MY neighbors were so impressed, stating they observed this team working non stop. Very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, HARD WORKING. Left our property as they found it - CLEAN. This made it easy to schedule the work at our connivence. He described the process and chemicals being used; and their effect on my plants and cedar shingles. He did explain that it may take 2 to 3 months for the roof to become completely clean. But assured that he could come back in a few months if wanted to get the roof rinsed off with a hose and not a high pressure washer. I’m looking forward to a clean roof."

Seamless gutters last 20 years (or more) with proper maintenance. How long the gutters last depends on the material you choose. Vinyl gutters will only last for 10 to 15 years, whereas copper and zinc gutters can last 50 years or longer. While gutter guards offer protection for your gutter system, they aren't completely safe from clogs. Over time, small pieces of debris can get through gutter screens. This can eventually cause clogged gutters, gutter leaks, mold formation, and other problems that can compromise your roof, foundation, and other parts of your home. In fact, it's common to see plants growing from gutter screens when gutter guard cleaning has been neglected. Knowing how to clean gutter guards is important to protect your gutter system from damage or malfunction.

Calcium chloride does not do significant damage to gutters when used properly and in moderate amounts. If you use too much too frequently, it could eventually cause corrosion in your gutters. Rock salt will harm your gutters, though.

It can be worth painting gutters if they look worn and old but are still functioning properly. Gutters should define and complement your roofline, not detract from the look of your home. Rust can be treated and potentially removed before repainting, but severely rusted gutters may need to be replaced instead. If your gutters simply aren't functioning, try cleaning them out.

While you don't technically need different gutters for metal roofs than you do for other types of roofs, most metal roofs use a half-round or K-style gutter system.
