"I switched from another company to Security One, they use the same equipment. They had to come out and recode everything. I simply switched because of the financial benefit. "I called Protect America to get pricing from them to take over my existing system and monitor my security system monthly. The girl I spoke with was very explicit and gave me all of the information I needed to compare them to other security companies. I did not go with them simply because I didn't care for the way it would be connected to my existing box. It is simply a matter of preference. I would recommend them to anyone. Rekeying is a good, cost-effective option when you want to ensure old keys no longer work, such as after moving into a new home or losing a key. It's also ideal if you want to keep your existing lock hardware. You should opt to replace the locks entirely if you want to upgrade to a more secure or different style of lock, if the current lock is old or damaged, after a break-in, or if too many copies of the old key exist.
