"The grind and repoint work completely changed the condition of our chimney. Yes, in most cases, you can add a few drops of Dawn to a spray bottle full of vinegar to remove hard water stains. This solution can be used on your dishes, or you can use it in your shower, bathtub, or sink to get rid of hard minerals. Simply combine the ingredients, shake them up, then spray the solution onto limescale-ridden surfaces. Wait around an hour and then scrub the surface down.

If it’s been a while between cleanings, then further elbow grease is needed. To help with caked- on stains, create a solution of distilled vinegar and water, then soak the rough side of the sponge and scrub.

Ensure there’s a way to flush out excess water from the generator. There will either be a bin you can pull to dump water down the drain or a simple button if your generator is hooked up to a drainage pipe. 

 Ideally, you’ll want to drain after every shower, but there will be a mark on the generator that shows how much water it can hold. Failing to drain the generator can lead to automatic shut-offs or damage.

It’s easy to clean door hinges without removing them, and if you do this regularly, the gunk won’t get a chance to build up and become a bigger issue. We recommend mixing some warm water with detergent and wiping the hinges with a clean towel or rag.
