We love what we do. We design and install roof and ground mounted solar systems using state of the art software that gives you accurate projections of your energy production. All our solar equipment is Tier 1; monocrystalline 25 year solar panels, inverters, and batteries, depending on the type of solar system you want. We handle everything from start to finish, including the utility interconnection process. When we're done, you own the system and the power it produces. When it comes to roofing, we pump out our own 24 gauge, double lock standing seam panels and custom bend all our own trim. We install asphalt shingles, corrugated steel, and flat rubber (EPDM) roofing as well. We are respectful, clean, thorough, and do extremely high quality work!

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

Insurance companies aren’t against solar panels, but they may have concerns about the risks and costs of insuring solar. The type of policy, where you live, and the insurance company itself matter. Extreme weather can damage solar panels, and faulty installation or electrical malfunctions pose a fire risk—this, in turn, can increase insurance company liability and payouts. However, you’re likely to keep coverage as long as you have a pro install the solar system, keep it maintained, can pass a solar panel inspection, and update your homeowners policy to include solar.

There are a few qualifying questions you should ask a local solar panel company before hiring them:

  • Will you handle permits for the installation?

  • Does your total price include the equipment and labor?

  • How long do you expect the installation process to take?

  • What kind of workmanship warranty do you include with your installations?

  • Who should I contact if I have a problem with my system after installation?

  • Do you install the panels or outsource the work to third parties?

  • Will you file for solar incentives for me?

The best solar panels to withstand hail are those rated UL 61730. These solar panels are certified to withstand hailstones up to 3 inches in diameter and travel at speeds up to 88 mph. IP68 solar panels are the next most resilient solar panel. Solar panels without these ratings can handle hail up to 1 inch in diameter that travels up to 50 miles per hour. If you live in an area with frequent or severe hailstorms, purchasing UL 61730 solar panels is often worth the investment.

Solar panels can protect your roof from hail, as they can withstand hail up to 1 inch in diameter that falls up to 50 mph. Your solar panels may experience damage if the hailstones are bigger and travel faster. Your roof can still suffer hail damage, and it’s essential to look for signs and repair issues right away. Roof damage can lead to leaks and water damage inside your home.

Installing solar panels is worth it if you’re frustrated with paying high utility bills, live in a sunny location, and qualify for tax credits and incentives. Most homeowners cut between $650 and $1,500 from their utility bills each year by installing solar panels. Over the course of your panel’s warranty, you could save anywhere from $16,300 to $37,500, though those in sunny areas with high energy costs could save more than $100,000.
