"The whole process and the folks who worked with us was fantastic. They were professional from the get-to, just like previous reviewers noted.
I don't have the folks' names handy, but the initial consultation/estimate involved one of the family members/owners who came out and listened to what we wanted, then provided a clear estimate with explanations and breakdown of the parts.
Their prices were right where we expected and, although not the cheapest estimate we received, they guaranteed the price upon install.
When the team of two came to do the actual install, they were courteous, professional, and very fast. They listened to what I was expecting to have completed and made specific suggestions and explanations of why he would do it. I went ahead and asked for additional work installing a piece for the garage which I explained would have a rain barrel installed later on. They custom cut the down spout to have a section which I could easily remove to be able to install the barrel at a later time, without any negative change for current use. Can't even tell there's a difference.
Overall, the product is top-notch. The reinforcements and brackets which hold up the gutters are spaced fairly close together, which I will assume is stronger and should last a long time.
Very satisfied and I even bought them lunch (tip).

"I called and left Dan a message, and he promptly returned my call.  Came out within a couple of days and was able to quickly tell me what the problem was. Worker who was sent out to complete the repair was professional and polite, and also pointed out an issue he noticed (with some missing shingles around the chimney) while he was up on the roof.  This was a very small job, and one that I would expect would get passed over repeatedly for bigger jobs, but they got it done in a reasonable amount of time, and I would use their services again.  (I have used them before, at a different house, for a new roof, and was pleased with that service as well).

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Absolutely—and lots of it. Overflowing water from your gutters can damage your siding and your roof. All of the moisture getting into the cracks and crevices of your home can lead to mold or mildew problems down the line. In addition, when water pools around your home, it needs a place to go—and sometimes it ends up inside the house, creating a very unwanted flood.

If you don't want to install gutter guards, the most common and inexpensive alternative is regular gutter cleaning, either annually, biannually, or as soon as they start to fill up. Using a leaf blower attachment can make this process easier. Other products designed to reduce cleanings include gutter screens (made of wire mesh, nylon, or foam), which are typically less expensive than a full gutter guard installation. You can also find guards and inserts designed specifically to protect your downspouts or opt for a whole gutter system like LeafGuard, which integrates the gutter and guard into a single product.

How long hangers last will depend on what gutter material they’re made from, but generally you can expect to get at least 10 to 15 years from them no matter what they’re made from. But don’t wait for them to break to give them a checkup. Inspect this part of your gutters on a yearly basis, and make repairs at the first sight of damage.

There are a handful of things you can look for to determine if you need to pay for gutter repairs, including the following:

  • Water leaking from the underside of your gutters during rainfall

  • Visible gaps between your gutters and your roof

  • Frequent issues with gutters overflowing or holding standing water

  • Gutters that sag or pull away from the house

  • Water damage to soffits, fascia boards, or other building materials

  • Mold growth on your exterior walls

  • Soil erosion underneath your roof overhang

  • Foundation leaks or inward bowing of foundation walls

The duration of a repair job can range from a few hours to several days. Simpler issues may take 1-4 hours, while more complex work or extensive damage could take 1-3 days. The final timeline depends on the complexity of the problem, the extent of the damage, and the location of the work.
