They arrived to pick up my belongings on time and were very efficient. They sent 3 guys to pack up a one-bedroom condo's worth of furniture and boxes. I did not use their packing services and I purchased my own moving insurance separately. They were done in about 2.5 hours. Although the initial delivery window was quite large (4 weeks). As the time got nearer, Northstar updated me with a narrower window. The week of the move, they pinned down the time and I was talking directly to the driver. On delivery day, there were two guys to deliver my things. It was lightly raining and the logistics were a bit tricky. I moved into downtown Portland, ME, on the 7th floor of a large apartment building. The entry to the parking lot would not accomodate the truck, so they needed to park on the street and cart items to the back entrance, then to the elevator and up to my apartment. The guys were very polite and did not grumble at all about the difficulties. For the most part, my items were in good condition. Nothing was missing or broken and there were only a few bumps and scratches. The boxes and containers were pretty beat up though, and it looked like things were piled up pretty high on the truck given the squashed condition of many of the boxes. Overall, I was pleased with Northstar. It was a new home, starting with the foundation. We hired him to come in and do the foundation, he underestimated the amount of concrete we would need to pour the foundation. He tried to save money by not hiring a pump truck and not communicating with the site work guys so the truck could get all the way around. So the truck got stuck and it mad e a huge mess. They had to do our foundation in two separate pours. They were out there at 10pm and one of the guys had to leave and I had to up on the wall and moved the concrete around and move stuff to get it done. I had to hound him to put the bolts in at the top of the foundation, he wanted to nail them which doesn't make any sense because you're supposed to put bolts through the board. He just wanted to put some nails and glue them on after the fact. It started with that and it went down hill from there. He didn't follow the plan that the architect gave him for the house, he screwed up the bolts head. The company he hired for the concrete floor had to go buy bags of concrete because he underestimated the amount of concrete they needed. The windows I had him set I just had another guy I had to pay to fix them, they weren't installed correctly and several of them leaked. He did a horrible mess with the sheet rock and other people had to come out and fix it. He was terrible. I would highly warn against others hiring him."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/me/lewiston/tremblay-construction-reviews-362467.htm"},"position":10}]}

FAQs for sand and rock delivery projects in Frankfort, ME
Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
The average cost to mow a lawn is about $125, ranging between $50 and $200 per cutting, depending on yard size. Other cost factors include the shape of your lawn, accessibility, lawn health, type of grass, length of grass, and frequency of the mowing schedule. The cost to cut your grass will also vary depending on where you live. If your landscaper has to maneuver around obstacles or deal with hard to reach areas and steep slopes, this will likely increase your total mowing costs.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. On the inexpensive end, red and black mulch are about $35 to $40 per cubic yard, and are typically made from recycled waste wood like shredded old pallets or deck material. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
The cost of a paver patio is $3,800 for a 280-square-foot patio on average. Depending on the patio size, paver material, and design complexity, this cost can range from $2,400 to $7,000 or more.
The size of your patio is a significant factor in the project’s overall cost. If you're building a smaller patio of only 60 square feet, your costs will be closer to $480 to $1,500. If you want a more luxurious 900-square-foot patio, you'll spend closer to $7,200 to $22,500.
