Mowing, trimming, cleanups, dump runs Mowing/trimming $60 minimum for an average lawn. (Obstacles in the lawn will mean more) Cleanups include leaves, grass clippings, garbage. $50 without off site disposal, $150 and it is removed from site. Dump runs are $150 to fill the truck with normal trash. $250-$400 for larger loads requiring a trailer depending on the items being loaded. I am not opposed to more than one person pooling together for a dump run either so don't be afraid to ask around

Dumpster Service questions, answered by experts

Depending on the specific model, there are multiple ways to charge the battery of a dump trailer. Some require an extension cord or wire to be plugged into a 110V AC outlet or directly into the towing vehicle. Other charging options include using solar panels or a proprietary charging system.

Composting can be a great alternative if you’re looking for a way to dispose of food scraps without a garbage disposal. If you have the space in your yard, you can install a compost bin or compost pile and add food waste. After enough time and heat, the compost will break down and can be used to mulch your garden.

If you don’t have space for compost, consider city-run programs or local companies that will pick up your food waste.

If you choose to break down a piano on your own, a 10-yard dumpster should be large enough to hold the individual parts. Keep in mind that junk haulers may not allow you to place a whole piano in a rollaway dumpster, but this will depend on the company, your contract, and local laws. That being said, choosing the right dumpster size will save you from the headache of over-filling the container during your cleanout.

Finding the right dumpster rental company for your needs requires interviewing companies to ask about rental timelines, costs, and weight limits. Here are some questions you can ask a dumpster rental company you’re considering:

  • How long are your standard rental contracts? Can I extend it?

  • What is the maximum weight your dumpsters can hold?

  • Does the rental include dumping fees?

  • Do I need a permit, and will you pull it for me?

  • Will you protect my driveway from damage?

With an average weekly dumpster rental cost of $385, you can expect to pay around $1,500 to rent a dumpster for one month. Your exact cost will depend on the size of the dumpster, the dumpster rental company’s prices, and the type of renovation project you’re tackling.
