Small jobs welcome

"Kaydn was hard working, very personable, and clearly focused on fixing our carpet problem—-which he did. Excellent communication to identify our needs, brought all the right equipment, and stayed with the project until completion. Highly recommended!"

"The original carpet was defective and Kelley came back , removed it, and replaced the home with new carpeting. They stood behind their product, installation, and reputation. I have no problems recommending them or having them do anything for me in the future."

"There was a small pricing dispute between me and the installer. We had to get the owner involved and even though he quickly settled in my favor, it was unfortunate the installer could not see the issue from my perspective right away."

"Since I had begun the project and got in over my head before calling them, I already had much of the supplies. We negotiated a fair price for using the stuff I had purchased. Project was done almost amazingly fast. Called for a quote on Saturday. They showed up that afternoon. Job was complete by Tuesday. Excellent job. They even helped me rent a machine to blow in insulation where the house needed it. I feel like I got an excellent value for my money."

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Vomit contains organic fluids along with whatever else comes out with it. When left without cleaning, vomit, and its odor can reach deep into carpet fibers and become very difficult to remove without a deep cleaning. In some cases, the combination can cause permanent carpet staining.

Yes, you can revive carpet that’s flattened using household items like an ice cube and stiff brush, a damp cloth and an iron, baking soda and vinegar, and shaving cream. If you want to go all-out, visit a local home improvement store and buy a carpet rake, too. Depending on the state of your carpet, you may need to use more than one of these methods to see results. Keep in mind that you might need to repeat a reviving method more than once.

Hiring a pro to stretch a carpet costs anywhere from $100 to $300, though this price increases if you also task the contractor to remove and replace the furniture from the room. Doing it on your own maxes out at $100, though renting the power stretcher and knee kicker extend the cost in some instances.

You can save money on labor costs by removing your old carpet before the professionals come in to install the new carpet. Just make sure to clear it with your contractor ahead of time. You might also be able to cut costs by buying carpet at certain times of year when it’s less expensive. These periods include late December to mid-January and late spring to early summer.

Carpet stretching can be a worthwhile investment to increase the lifespan of your carpet and eliminate unsightly wrinkles, ridges, and ripples. For an older carpet that is in relatively good condition aside from some wrinkling or bubbling, restretching can make it look like new and extend its life by at least a couple of years. You should consider restretching when you notice looseness or other related issues.

However, it's important to note that stretching will not fix issues like stains, wear in the pile, or discoloration. Consider replacing the carpet instead if the repair cost is more than 50% of the price of a new one. Additionally, if your carpet is past its expected lifespan of five to 15 years, or if it has been stretched multiple times already, replacement is likely a better option.
