"Sergio was very friendly and knowledgeable about bathroom tiles. He meet me at a warehouse to choose an appropriate tile and came back another day install 2 bathrooms over 2 days. The finished product looks good and feels solid. Some of the trim areas (grout lines) near the walls are a little uneven in places. I think the overall price was reasonable, with the exception of the additional charge to come back and seal the grout."

Small jobs welcome

"Dave and his team are professional, honest, and hard workers. We purchased a home and had a laundry list of items we wanted to change. Our work was 3wks+ and $10k+. They were patient with our decisions and gave excellent advice when we needed to make choices. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a team for large or small projects."

"Josh Ramirez and his team at Blue Diamond Contractors are exceptional craftsmen. They listen, make sound suggestions and follow through expertly. They pay attention to detail. They arrive promptly and clean up the area before leaving. I've received many compliments on the renovations to my basement. The cost was competitive, but very reasonable. I've worked with Josh Ramirez on several projects on my house. And, I'll continue to do so. I highly recommend Blue Diamond Contractors."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can put too much shock in a pool, and it is crucial to follow the directions on the product you are using. Adding excess shock can upset the chemical balance, make the water cloudy, have adverse effects on swimmers, damage pool equipment or surfaces, and even encourage certain types of algae to grow. If you have over-shocked your pool, perform a water test and adjust the chemicals as necessary. The pool's chemical balance will eventually return to normal as the excess chlorine dissipates over time.

Avoid the dreaded pool pop by only draining your pool during dry, temperate times of the year. If there is too much moisture or the threat of ice in the ground surrounding your pool, the pressure could disrupt the stability of your pool's floors and walls. Additionally, always open the hydrostatic drains in an inground pool toward the end of the design process.

The most expensive part of building a pool is typically the excavation and labor, which can account for 25% to 50% of the total project cost. This is particularly true for inground pools that require significant excavation, potentially including the rental of large equipment, and extensive construction labor. In contrast, above-ground pools are generally less expensive as they typically do not require excavation and can be installed much more quickly. Concrete in-ground pools are among the most labor-intensive options.

The depth of your pool depends on its intended use, the size of your lawn, and whether you opt for an in-ground or aboveground pool. Aboveground pools tend to be between four and six feet deep while in-ground pools range anywhere from three to eight feet. Permanent installations also have the option of shallow and deep ends.

It’s a good idea to run the pool pump while swimming because your filter and skimmers will be active to help keep the water clean. Additionally, if you have pool features, you would naturally keep those pumps running while you swim. However, it’s not a requirement to run your pump while you swim.
