"Perfecly: Responsive crew, quick to identify the problem, and took pictures from the roof to show me the problem, solution, and final result, including a new bird-proof vent cap to avoid a repeat of the problem. They were not only professional but gave full explanations along the way. The new vent was even painted to match the roof color."
"The technicians redid the bricks so that you couldn't even tell they were repaired. It looked beautiful. They put in a new liner in the chimney and waterproofed it. They redid the inside of the fireplace to bring it up to code and put in a chain that easily opens and closes the flue. It looks so good and easy that I may decide to use the fireplace again. They redid the pipes in the basement so the fumes from the boiler and hot water heater went up the chimney in the correct way. There had been water damage and they corrected the damage and closed off the hole in the wall (foundation) and made a bigger hole in the correct place so that everything was up to code. They were polite, efficient and worked very hard to get the work done in the promised two days. I have interviewed many companies and found this company to be straight-forward in telling me what they would do and didn't try to tell me they were giving me a "good deal." Rather I feel they gave me an honest estimate on what needed to be done and didn't try to pressure me into using their company. They did give me 10% off because I was an Angie's List customer. What company to use was a hard decision for me because I knew nothing about chimney repair. Because so much of the repair was inside the chimney I couldn't tell what they had done. Based on my experience I feel they did a good job. I don't have a picture of the repaired chimney but it looks great--better than it did before the bricks fell. If someone wants more detail I can copy exactly what they did from the invoice. Also, maybe the company can show a picture of the finished product. Since it is summer time I haven't had any experience using the chimney but will let you know how things work out during the winter."
"The service was fine. The only thing is that they were really late coming. So, it was like dark when they got out of here. They left the area good when they were finished. It took them an hour-and-a-half to complete the job. They sent me a picture of the chimney. The price was great. They did show up."
"Robert came to my house and inspected the roof and inside the attic. He explained what was going wrong with my roof and outlined my options for getting a new roof installed. He also showed me his company's credentials and their excellent ratings with various rating agencies. He gave me a quote and I was contacted to confirm the installation date. Robert and his crew showed up on time, worked really hard all day and had the new roof installed as well as the two new attic fans we had discussed installing. They cleaned up completely when they were done. Throughout the process Robert and his employees were all very professional, quick to respond to any questions and helpful in all ways. I recommend K & R Roofmasters highly and would use them again."
"Very professional and friendly. I would rely on this company. They gave me a window of 3 hours to arrive at the property, however I was the 1st appointment of the day so not sure why you can't confirm a time? They also did not call me on their way to the job as discussed I thought the price was reasonable for the service, however I can't confirm quality. All I know is the job took a lot less than other chimney cleaning services I have had in the past. "
"I was very pleased with the work this guy did. My chimney was demolished by a car who crashed into my house and they redid it exactly how it was, preserving the house's original style. They are very responsible and very nice people. If I had to, I would hire them again."
"These guys are A+++. I called on Friday to schedule an appointment for a quote. I was told that the first available appointment was about a week out. However, the scheduler promised to contact me if they had a cancellation. A few hours later, I got a call and was scheduled for Monday morning. The owner called me about 30 minutes before they arrived at my home to give an updated ETA. The two men who arrived were both professional and promptly put on shoe covers before entering my home. As it turned out, the expensive installation procedure was not really necessary. The owner took time to explain exactly what was required and even drew a diagram I could use for future reference. He gave me excellent advice and even helped with the physical labor as a favor. They could have tried to sell me unneeded services, but instead, they have a customer for the future. I will absolutely contact this company for future work on my chimneys/fireplaces. They are honest, professional and polite. "
Typically 1-2 hours, factoring in ductwork and electrical connections.
A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.
Yes, with features like LED lighting and variable speed controls for efficiency.
By positioning ductwork for optimal airflow and reducing potential leaks.
Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.
