"Todd was excellent - a complete professional. Dependable, punctual, and totally delivered what he said he would. I had existing stone walls that needed repair. Another person had been sloppy while reinforcing some loose stones. Todd removed what he did, making the walls look spectacular - just like the original stone walls. He also fixed a stone walkway that was a mess. Many people do not want to bother getting into a mess created by someone else, but Todd accepted the challenge and did a great job. I would recommend him without hesitation."

"We needed two large spruce trees that were against the house removed and another in the front yard that was ugly. We called several different tree companies to come out and give estimates, one company wanted $600 a tree and that was just to cut it down, not to remove it or grind the stumps! Another company wanted $300 a tree and they wanted to drag the trees elsewhere on the property, and no stump grinding. This was the third company on our list of recommended tree removal specialists. We called them last Wednesday to get an estimate. Within a few hours he was out there looking at the job. He came in with a price that beat the others both in price and services. This morning he arrived right on time and got right to work. Within a few hours they removed all traces of the three trees and ground the stumps. We were so pleased with their services, we had them give us an estimate on a future project we plan later this spring. Highly recommend!

"Fantastic! Dave Brodowski and his crew were superb. They worked long, non-stop days and did excellent work (.my dad was a contractor). They removed old siding, a backer used for the siding, and then the cedar shakes we had. They replaced any bad wood underneath. Then, they put new, better, thicker (waterproof) backing up, sealed the backing edges with tape; and put up the new siding. Took them 2+ weeks. They cleaned up multiple times. I would recommend them to anyone."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

When starting the engine, you typically leave the choke on a snowblower in the "choke" or "closed" position. After starting, let the engine run for a few minutes to warm up. Then, gradually open the choke, moving it to the "open" or "run" position, allowing more air into the engine and transitioning to a normal fuel-air mixture. The exact duration varies based on the snowblower model and ambient temperature, but as a general rule, you should open the choke once the engine has stabilized and runs smoothly, typically within a few minutes.

Rubbing alcohol may also remove ice from your driveway in a pinch. It has a lower freezing point than water, which expedites the unfreezing process. Pour 70 percent isopropyl alcohol into a quart or half-gallon spray bottle and spray it on your driveway. You do not have to dilute it with water.

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.

The cost to purchase a snow blower ranges from $100 to $2,300 on average, depending on the make, model, type, and age of the machine. More advanced two-stage and three-stage models, which are often self-propelled and include features like power steering and heated hand grips, can cost between $950 and $1,500 or more. If you only need a snow blower temporarily, you can rent one for an average of $75 per day from a local hardware store or rental facility.

Costs depend on property size, snowfall frequency, and additional services like de-icing or hauling snow offsite.
