"Ken, the owner of Northeast Dog Guard, was amazing. I have a very highly active and very fast large dog. She is 35 lbs., and we had her only 4 weeks when Ken came to our rescue. We have tried GPS collars (2 to be exact) and they were unpredictable. Our dog would run the GPS fence because one day it works and the next day it would not. The boundaries also shifted based on satellite positions. Not worth the expensive investment. Not with Ken’s and Northeast Dog Guard collar. He arrived on time on schedule, even on the rainiest day and worked with me and my large puppy to install and train her. Black chain-link fences last an average of 15 to 20 years. The thicker a fence's wire gauge, the longer it will tend to last. The black vinyl coating gives the fence rust and corrosion resistance, but its life span may be lower in wet, humid, or coastal climates where moisture or salty air can corrode the coating more quickly.

Yes, you can use a floor jack to remove fence posts. Attach a stem to the base of the fence post so you can position the floor jack underneath. The stem can be a scrap piece of wood attached with nails or a sturdy nail itself. Put the jack beneath the stem and push the lever to lift up on the fence post and remove it from the ground.

You have several options for anchoring a temporary fence, ranging in cost and ease of installation. Sandbags are one solution, but may not hold up if you have inclement weather with strong winds.
