This was a roof replacement project on a large house. The crew of 8 finished the job in one 12 hour day. They were amazing, well coordinated, and meticulous in the clean-up. The roof is beautiful. I thought it was a bit expensive and that I should have shopped around more- but I doubt I would have had such a positive experience with another company

We were extremely pleased with the quality and efficiency of the work that the Solid State crew performed. Nick, the project manager, was accessible and easy to talk to. Heidi, the sales rep was through, reliable and responsive. We delayed doing the project due to COIVD-19 and there was no problem with doing that. When the project was finally scheduled, the crew came, worked extremely hard and did an outstanding job. The clean up was great also. The project was mostly done in one day although the second day they installed the skirt boards where the dormers meet the roof. They installed edge and ridge vents. I highly recommend this company. We had a great experience with them.

Lately, our roof had been showing stain and moss all over the surface. In addition, after windy rainstorms, we were finding water stains on our interior walls and ceilings as well as various shingle pieces throughout our yard. So, along with my husband, David, I began to do research on companies that replace roofs on residential houses. As part of this process, we talked to our friend Tina Delatina Rosa who is the Quality Assurance, Marketing and Events Coordinator for Solid State Construction. This led to Tina and Rob Blanchflower, a Project Consultant for Solid State, visiting our home on January 17 to assess our needs. With absolutely no pressure but lots and lots of professionalism and competence, Tina and Rob studied our roofing structure both inside and outside, including a tough to get into and out (for former NFL tight end Rob) assessment of our attic space. In a relaxed presentation around the dining room table, Rob told us who Solid State Construction and their product supplier, GAF, are. Everything was clearly explained; from old roof removal to installation of new underlayment and ventilation systems and finally of the GAF shingle product. GAF guarantees this product for 50 years if it is installed complying with GAFâ  s strict standards and, of course, Solid State Construction is a certified GAF installer. The price was actually higher than some of the other options we looked at, but the comprehensiveness of Robâ  s presentation and the absolute pride he exuded while describing the merits of Solid State and GAF convinced David and me that this is the way to go. On Saturday, March 21, Tina along with Solid State Construction Assistant Project Manager, Nick Keegan, showed up early in the morning with eight workers. Watching these men during the day I realized just how well trained and experienced a crew Nick was overseeing. Of immediate note to me was that right from the beginning at least one worker was assigned to clean up. No having a giant heap of a mess to clean up at the end of the day when everyone is tired and wants to go home. Along the way and after removing the old roof, previously unseen problems appeared. This required replacement of rotted structural boards and cross members which Nick had his men do without looking to nickel and dime us in the process. A good-sized portion of our roof covers a family room that we added to the house years ago. It was covered with regular shingles, but Nick advised me that a far superior covering because of the pitch of the roof would be rubber. So, right there while actually carrying out the work activity, a significant change in scope was made with no increase in cost or time to complete the project. At the end of the day, with only a few minor items that were taken care of the next morning, the project was done and everything was cleaned up. The quality of the final product fully reflects the expertise and professional workmanship of Nick Keegan and his extremely hard-working project team. Two of our neighbors spent years in the construction trades and they came over to tell David this is complete quality and professional job. One, usually skeptical, said, â  Dave, when they told you to put rubber rather than regular shingles over the family room, thatâ  s when I knew these guys knew what they were doing.â  We couldnâ  t say it better. We are totally pleased and satisfied with our roof replacement provided by Solid State Construction and its product supplier GAF. We very strongly recommend them. Oh, of course, we had some questions after everybody left. No problem, David just called Nick Keegan who responded right away.

Jeff, Chris and crew were excellent. Quality of work is excellent, and the product is expensive but you get what you pay for. Love the fact they will not deal with lesser quality materials.

They don't even complete the task that I need done, but they persisted on me getting other projects done.

Did you ever hire a contractor and wish they could complete ALL the work on your house because of the integrity of the company, the quality and pride of workmanship, the attention to detail, and the excellent overall customer experience? This was the case when we hired Solid State Construction to completely replace all the roofing on our 1875 home, install a new gutter system properly and design and build a stunning new front porch! The Solid State workers arrived early, stayed late and endured wind and freezing temperatures throughout the winter months to complete the projects! I highly recommend this company and team of workers to complete all your exterior construction!

My house was in very bad shape. From having to replace rotten boards to installing a new door and new windows due to rot. Jeff Brooks' team was awesome. Even my neighbors can't believe the difference. Love it.

I wish all contractors I hired were this good. If you need a new roof , Jeff Bridges is the man you need to talk with. From addressing concerns to explaining the product we were actually buying with a roof installation, to pricing and scheduling, everything Jeff promised, was delivered. His crew was great; neat, quiet, efficient. The project was started and finished on time and the work area was spotless was they were done. I cannnot recommend them more highly.

From our first meeting with the Founder, Jeff...how he listened to our concerns and addressed them, his attention to detail. The quality of his workers, their work ethic and the follow through provided by his Project Manager, Chris it was an excellent experience all the way!

Jeff's subcontractors were excellent, and he dealt with any issues I had concerning the work his own guys did. As with anyone hired to do a job, get everything in writing.

This is a ongoing project. The siding has not arrived yet, however they are replacing my back deck with composite and I could not be happier. The workers are all courteous and answer all my stupid questions. I can't wait until the fiber cement siding is up and the rubber roof is complete.

After 2 months I am still having difficulty getting the required warranty certificate. Solid State did nothing for 1 month so I called them. A month later still no certificate. I need this if you roof fails during the 25 month warranty period. In addition, the jobsite was left with shingles hanging from trees and gutters, no one scheduled the pickup of the dumpster, and communication was poor at best. On the positive side, the roof was finished when promised.

On time and on budget. Good craftmenship.

I decided to use Solid State Construction for several reasons. First of all I liked that Jeff was involved in every aspect of the job: original meeting, sales discussion, estimate as well as doing the work. Secondly he has an at-your-house friendly personality that you do not mind being there during the duration of the job. Overall the job experience I'd rate an A+. The craftsmanship is superb. The crew from Solid State was enjoyable. And lastly, Jeff did a lot of little extra work during the job that was not part of the original proposal as well as showed me a lot of things that could possibly be problematic later on.

My Mother and I were very pleased with Jeff Brooks and his team! The deck looks beautiful! My mother feels the job was done very professionally and is very strong & secure. Jeff and his team very very patient during the whole process! I would definitely use Solid State Construction again for my home improvement projects!

In the estimation and bidding process he did very well. Still needs to perform the work. After the job is complete I will be able to better judge performance.

The project took much longer than anticipated, but some of that was due to bad weather. The end project is beautiful and very well constructed. We are extremely pleased with the end result, however some small details were overlooked, like cleaning up the nails from the yard. Overall, very happy with both Jeff Brooks and Solid State Construction.

Jeff was very prompt in his response to my request and very professional. He has been to the house twice so far and I am more than pleased with his service. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
