Although there was a short delay from the manufacturer delivering the transfer switch, John did a good job keeping us informed of status and picking a revised install date.On the day of the install, John and his asst. arrived exactly when they said they would...completed the work in a very professional manner and did a great job cleaning up and then making sure I knew how to operate everything. They were slightly more expensive than some of the other estimates I received and there was a bit of soft "upsell" on the day of the install (the whole house surge and lightening protectors) but based on their great customer service, I would definitely use them again.

We selected Jolt Electrical from Angie's List. I called in the morning and they came in the afternoon of the same day to so see what we needed done. That evening I received an email with the estimate. We thought that the estimate was reasonable, and they had conveyed professionalism during the visit. I called the next morning and the work was scheduled for the next week. They came on time and did a first rate job. Competent, professional, and pleasant. We had about 8 things that needed done and all were completed well and exactly the way that we wanted. An excellent experience and we highly recommend them to anyone needing any type of electrical work done.

John showed up on time, explained things thoroughly, and performed services as described. I would use him again for electrical work.

I initially scheduled an appointment with John for Saturday, but he had to cancel on short notice. He was able to accommodate my schedule, and to the work on Sunday. He called that morning to let me know that he was running a little late. He arrived 30 minutes later, as promised. The job took approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. He took the time to explain everything to me. He cleaned up, and disposed of unwanted items when he was finished.

John showed up as scheduled. We looked at the installation together. Unfortunately what I hoped to have done was contrary to MA electrical codes. We resolved that an outlet box needed to be installed and proceeded to figure how to do this. The existing fireplace was firebrick inside a plenum box. We found a punch-out hole to go through the firebrick wall. The next problem was fitting an outlet box in the fireplace with the log system in place. We resoved that by locating the box at the top of the fireplace with conduit coming from the punch-out to the box. (Code again). The only problem was the size of the outlet box. I suggested using a small rectangular box to be less obtrusive. John only had a square double box which was bigger. I suggested he get the smaller box but he wanted to use the one he had. He got it all installed and it looked good. I was planning to paint the fireplace black anyway which would hide all the conduit and box. John cleaned up himself. Note: After painting the fireplace everything looked good. I am very satisfied.

It went very well. I was very pleased from the first telephone call, all the way to the end of the profect. John was polite and professional, prompt, and explained everything to me in great detail, which helped me to understand the issues. He took great care to complete the project the same day as he arrived. John was very personable and gave me a discount as well. I called JOLT to get an estimate on electrical work needed to be done as part of the agreement in selling our home. John answered the phone right away despite being in someone's attic doing some work. He was at our home later that day and got an estimate to us quickly. We got another estimate and continued with our home negotiations. When the house went under agreement, we moved forward with John to do the work. He quickly found time in his schedule and within a few days he was at our home and the work was complete. John was professional, responsive, and thorough. We needed everything done in a timely manner for our closing and John made that easy for us.

John did an excellent job running the new circuits and installing the microwave oven. His price was excellent. I had another estimate that was 3x the price. He was extremely easy to reach by phone and easy to schedule the work. He was on time and cleaned up after himself. While here, he inspected the existing panel and made recommendations about upgrading the very old panel which I had planned for a while anyway. I'd definitely use his company again.

Communication was easy. John and his assistant were on time, efficient, and great to work with. The work is well-done.

I called John in the afternoon and explained I needed a new outlet for a washer-dryer combo. He said he had a cancelation and would be over in 30 minutes. John explained what he was going to do and his price was reasonable. The work was professonable and he also removed old breaker box, dead wire and moved a wire to make room for dryer vent duct. We also discuss future work.

I called Jolt Electric at 3:30 on a weekday afternoon because my dishwasher kept tripping the circuit breaker. John, owner of Jolt Electric, arrived at my house in less than 1 hour and proceeded to patiently listen to my amateur explanation of the problem. He then did a complete diagnostic on my entire electrical system to troubleshoot what the problem may be with the dishwasher. He was able to identify that the problem was due to some improper installation of the electrical system that the dishwasher was tied into. In addition to fixing the dishwasher problem, John also suggested (without pressuring in any way) fixes for other concerns that he noticed with my overall electrical service. I know he was not just b.s.'ing me becuase the same conerns he expressed were noted by the home inspector I used when I purchased my house less than 2 years ago. John came back the next day and was able to fix the "punch list" I gave him of electrical issues within the house. I mentioned I might try to get central air in the next year, and he patiently discussed and walked me through various options and things I may need to have done to the electrical before I could have central air installed. John was very professional, extremely knowledgable, and most important, very patient when I asked him a million questions a million different ways. I would highly recommend and will definitely use John in the future. His prices are fair and he was even great with my pets.

John was great - very responsive and punctual, and clear/specific about the scope of work under discussion and the cost of each element. He answered all my questions about the probable difficulty of performing some tasks, and worked with me to come up with a cost-sensible plan to accomplish as much of what we wanted as possible (out of scope work was our crazy, hard-to-accomplish "nice to haves" - all the essentials got done). He showed up on time, worked quickly and neatly, and left us with a clean, tidy and well-installed set of new circuits, fixtures and outlet boxes. I would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him to anyone. His billing was very reasonable.
