"Ellen was wonderful. As a new and first time homeowner I was overwhelmed with what colors to choose for multiple rooms in our house. Ellen met with me to go over options and made suggestions that she thought would work in the rooms, she then provided me with real paint samples, where I could see what the paint actually looked like instead of just the little tiny swatch you get at the store. They were large adhesive pieces that I could hang up, move around and really decided what worked best. She also suggested the color of my daughter's nursery and it is by far my favorite room in the house. We also needed wallpaper removed in two different rooms, and this was done beautifully. During the whole process we were also moving our furniture in, which was not easy but Ellen and her team handled the craziness wonderfully. For a very reasonable price, Douglas’s crew safely removed nearly all of the flaking lead paint from our house and repainted, as well as painting the garage. "I had Conor's crew did my interior part of my unit. I want to be fair and unemotional about the job because i want to be honest to viewers. Conor's quote may be low, however i suspect it is something he has done many times to win the job/contract. What i mean is he will find other things to recover part of the cost by indicating that something went wrong and he will ask for more money. He mentioned that there is some parts of the ceiling has smoke stains. I and my family never smoke. and i found out the previous owner never smoked either. Lastly, his crew had took down my ceiling light due to the paint job. However, they lost one of the screws and i had to scramble to call Conor after 1 month of the job. the job was done right before the state wide pandemic shutdown. and i never bother or dare to go back to the condo since i don't live there anymore. In the final walkthrough, I did not check carefully at the ceiling since i was looking mostly at the walls and the job itself. I think i have a picture of the ceiling light being removed and placed on the table as well when i went there to inspect the work myself during the operation of the job. but i am very certain that the crew removed the light. When i called and explained to Conor, he was very defensive and protective of his crew. I was not calling to tell him that his crew did a bad job. My call was only to have them find the screw and place it in its proper place. that is it. no harm at all to his reputation. Instead, he went and started attacking my integrity. I worked with many contractors, but i have never had a contractor questioned my integrity. This is the first time"
