They are a one off. They screw you on a bill (in the mail only, never in person) and then you puke. No one ever calls these clowns back. Get the word out before someone you k ow gets screwed over!! I wanted to use a local company to support local. But RotoRooter is a franchise model. That's local enough for me. And they have a 6-month guarantee! On multiple days Budge It told me they'd call me back, and they did not. I'm sure they are frustrated with my calls. But there is poop in my house, and Budge It told me last month that I was good to go. The Budge it owner explained to me last week that I "get what [I] pay for" and since they are less expensive than RotoRooter, that's why there is no guarantee. But I paid Budge It drains $620 last month, and RotoRooter $360 today."

The best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. However, there are several factors that can affect this recommendation, including the age and condition of your pipes, how often your sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. When in doubt, ask a licensed plumber for their recommendation for your plumbing system. 

Ejector pumps can only push sewage 750 feet or less. That’s because their purpose is to move waste from your home to your sewer line—which is a relatively short distance. Grinder pumps can transport sewage further, but they manage lower volumes of waste than ejector pumps (and they don’t work with septic systems).

With a one-way cleanout, you can access your sewer line from one direction. Depending on the way it curves, a plumber can either access the side of the pipe that goes into your home or the side that goes to your yard. On the other hand, two-way cleanouts allow pros to access both sides of the sewer line, thanks to their dual-pipe design (they’re usually U-shaped).

Snakes can occasionally enter homes through shower drains, although it’s quite rare. This can happen when they follow sewer pipes or accidentally find their way into plumbing systems. To minimize the risk, consider installing drain covers or stoppers on your shower drains. Always keep drains closed when they’re not in use, especially in areas where snakes are known to be active.
