"The crew was very nice, careful and professional. They were very careful with their ladders. The windows are so clean, you can hardly tell there's glass there. They cleaned the screens and the window sills. The office staff and owner were very nice and concerned that the job be done well. I also had them clean the gutters. They did a great job and even pounded in some nails that had come out a little. I highly recommend Fish Window Cleaning."

"Carey is polite, respectful, and asks all the right questions. He is very respectful of your space and wanted to know how I prefer things before he began. It's so nice to find someone who is both pleasant and personable, and so good at what they do!."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, you should clean your windows and any associated fixtures and treatments every six months. Otherwise, clean them as needed to keep everything running smoothly. If you live in a part of the country with especially hard water, you may have to clean them three or four times per year, and the same goes for areas where insects, pollen, dirt, and other debris can soil your windows and potentially cause issues with the moving parts.

Prices vary depending on window size, building height, and accessibility, ranging from $5 to $15 per window or $150 to $500 per service.

The best homemade cleaning solution for windows is one gallon of warm, distilled or bottled water mixed with five to ten drops of liquid dish soap. This is what professional window cleaners typically use when they make their cleaning solutions. Using bottled or distilled water will help avoid hard water stains after cleaning, and the soap will cut through grease, smudges, and debris on your glass.

You should avoid using abrasive materials and harsh chemicals when cleaning windows. Abrasive tools like scrubbing pads, rough cloths, or steel wool can permanently scratch and damage the glass. Harsh chemical cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia can damage window treatments, frame materials, and special features like tinting. It is also best to use distilled or filtered water instead of hard water, which can leave spots or streaks. For best results, use a clean microfiber cloth to wash the glass and old black and white newspapers to dry it without leaving streaks.

Yes, using appropriate techniques and solutions for material-specific care.
