"They showed up on time and were very efficient. They installed the light-fan combination and the outlets quickly, and cleaned up afterwards. They were friendly and courteous and very reasonably priced. I was very happy with the work that was done.

"Justin contacted us right away and came out the next day. Unfortunately, one of the sailing fans we bought wouldn't work well on our ceiling, but he was doing all he could to make it work. In the end he came back a second day to make one of our original ceiling. Fans work with a light I got no extra cost. He was very polite and cleaned up, Even though he made little to no mess."

"

Visit went very well. Mr. Bennet showed up promptly with another worker and they got to work immediately. A stain blocker was applied and then two coats of ceiling white. I provided paint and Bin stain blocker. This removed the water stain in the bedroom and significantly reduced the appearance of the water stain in the hallway. Two workers, both professionals. I would certainly use them again.

"The furnace took 4 days to get approved( not counting a Sunday) the others were quick but the water heater had to be ordered so without hot water for a week. One ceiling fan was easy but within a year their policy changed and They would not install the one I purchased and had to get a new one approved and then ordered online and took several weeks to get straightened out. Not sure who was at fault, AHS, installer or scheduling with renter. Fee is usually $75 per visit"

"If you are looking for a general contractor service that is smart, responsive, and respectful, look no further.  When we contacted TNTS with our project, I had the pleasure of speaking with Sally, who was extremely kind and polite.  She was able to schedule a consultation that day!!!! I was very excited that they had the time to see my property so quickly.
Leslie worked with us as the general contractor, and she was so kind and considerate.  My wife and I felt so comfortable speaking with her about the project, and she was comfortable as well.  It was very easy to tell her what we wanted to do and why we wanted to do it, and she was very receptive and thorough.  Once I received the quote, though, my jaw dropped.....The price was considerably less than I had expected!!!! I thought this would have easily been a $10k job, but to do it all for $5800, I thought there was a mistake.  And to add even more thrill to the whole scenario, they were able to start work THE WEEK AFTER our estimate was made!!!
I have worked with general contractors before and I have never had an experience like this, in a positive way!  When the work started, the contractors that were sent to our site worked fast however very professional.  They did all the work to code and they cleaned up afterwards.  Ron, the carpenter that had worked with us during the replacement of the columns and the stairs, was very friendly and easy to work with.  He had even made some suggestions that had saved us some money, which we were able to shift to rebuilding the stairs at the bulkhead (which wasn't part of the contract, but they were happy to do it!).
Chuck had been the contractor that installed our ceiling vent, and God bless him!  He did a great job, even though the heat had been brutal in the attic initially.  The project was divided into 2 days because he didn't have a ladder long enough available at the time to access the vent in the exterior of the house, but they got that turned around very quickly as well.
Through the whole project, any concern I had I brought up with Leslie and she was very professional and reactive.  This company works to please their customers, and not condescend or cut corners to pad their pockets.  Believe it or not, even when it came time to request payments when scheduled, they were extremely kind and respectful.
My experience with TNTS had been so positive, and the work had been done so professionally and cost-effectively, that my wife and I decided not to sell the home as intended.  Once we found a great contractor, and started to customize the house to our liking, we realized that it's a great place to stay.  It's a great feeling to know that we have a contractor on our side to help us with home renovations, because we will be using them again, and again, and again!!!
Thank you TNTS!!!"

"Overall my experience with Koch Construction was excellent. I have noticed that they change their name to Koch and Sons Home Improvement in order to broaden there customer base. I spoke with mr. Koch himself about the name change and that's what he told me that he believes in quality work at a price that a customer can afford and it also be fair for enough payment to his business employees and himself. I would recommend Clutch & Sons Home Improvement formerly known as Koch Construction to anybody on Cape Cod or on the South Shore for any Home Improvement needs I was amazed at the knowledge he had in so many different aspects of Home Building home repair just in general there was nothing he couldn't do he also went above and beyond to do extra and help me with my ceiling tiles and fix my stairs and when it was done I couldn't tell that there was ever any work needed to be done on the house and look like it Blended right in especially the walls where he fix the drywall mixed it in and then Blended the paint he also has a very special skill with people and knows how to deal with people so to everybody on the cape if you want a fair price and the best work for that price call Koch and Sons Home Improvement formally Koch Construction.

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

There’s no reason why you can’t install a ceiling fan anywhere in your home, such as in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and dining areas. Most bathrooms already have ventilation and don’t need a ceiling fan. For safety purposes, avoid installing a ceiling fan where the blades will be less than eight feet from the floor, near bunk beds, or anywhere else they may hit nearby objects.

Ceiling fans can be a great way to cool your home without the expensive utility bill of running an air conditioner. Plus, ceiling fans can sometimes run in both directions, pushing hot air down in winter and pulling cold air up in summer. With that said, air conditioning might be the only thing that helps if you live in a very warm climate.

Ceiling fans are very often worth the investment because they improve comfort in your living space and help reduce utility bills. In the late spring and early fall—and even in the summer in some areas—homeowners with ceiling fans can often get away with open windows and fans, which can cut down on cooling bills and also reduce wear and tear on the HVAC system. Over time, ceiling fans can pay for themselves by saving you money on electric bills and air conditioner repair and maintenance.

There are many types of ceiling fans, from self-automated smart ceiling fans to outdoor ceiling fans that provide additional comfort to your patio. What you choose all comes down to function and personal taste.

Consider your ceiling height when selecting a ceiling fan. Rooms with ceilings under eight feet high will do well with low-profile ceiling fans, also known as flush-mount or hugger ceiling fans. If your home has cathedral ceilings or ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, you’ll need a large ceiling fan with a heavy-duty motor to get adequate air circulation.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.
