"Bob did an exceptional job with plastering and smoothing over popcorn ceiling. There was added difficulty to the job due to harsh weather conditions which added more moisture and other variables, but Bob took care to provide clear and concise directions for me and for me to provide to other contractors. I would certainly recommend"

"I found Liam and Bryan very easy to deal with. Bryan provided a quote within several days of my initial contact in regards to my chimney repair and painting the base. Their whole crew was very professional and I am very pleased with the results. They explained any problem clearly and solved them satisfactorily. In fact, they repaired the flashing and new clay flue liners free of charge. I highly recommend LBJ Masonry."

"Gabe and his crew were extremely professional and very fast. The work they did was exceptional, the crew was quiet and very good. When the job was done, they cleaned up after themselves, and it was like they were never here. Prices were affordable and fair. Gabe made sure that we were happy with everything going on and was easy to get a hold of if we had questions. Highly recommend using Gabe and his crew"

"I was referred to Wynne Painting by a family member. They were very professional and courteous, and skilled in many areas in the field. Other places I spoke would only paint and did not provide other services required to get the job done. Derek was able to patch areas around my window treatments that had been damaged and extremely poorly patched by the previous owners. The thing I liked most about this company is it was hassle free. Very willing to do exactly what you want done. Their scheduled times were very prompt and I was not left waiting around at the end of the day for them to finish up when I had things to do. They're also very respectful of your home. I was impressed with how they made sure to cover the floors, furniture and other household items from paint, sanding dust and other debris. The clean up was spotless. Aside form the great new colors and flawless trim, you'd never know they were there. This is what a customer expects when you invite someone into your home to do work. Thank you Wynne Painting. I'll definitely be referring your company to others.

Stucco FAQs, answered by experts

Stucco repair can best be described as a patch. It involves identifying the problem and fixing that specific damage with additional stucco. If no mold infiltration or an underlying leak is causing the damage, repair is most likely all you need.

Remediation, on the other hand, involves removing the existing siding, fixing the underlying cause of the damage, and then reapplying stucco siding for that wall. It’s a more permanent fix that takes longer to complete and, hence, comes with a steeper price tag than repair.

DIY is possible for small cracks or patches. Professional services ensure proper texture and color matching.

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.

Hiring a professional for stucco repair ensures accurate diagnosis and application of appropriate techniques to prevent further damage. They deliver seamless results that maintain aesthetic appeal and prolong the exterior’s life.

If it is applied properly, stucco is a durable material that can last between 50 and 80 years, especially with regular repair and maintenance. Things like painting the stucco every 10 years or so will help it last longer. The location of your home plays a big part in the life span of your stucco, too.
