You’ll have to make a judgment call. Kitchen ceilings between 8 and 12 feet high typically offer the best-case installations for a new row of cabinets or shelves that will fill the gap. By the time your ceiling reaches 15 feet or higher, as they often do in open floor plans, it’s time to embrace the space and consider toppers that don’t have to reach all the way to the ceiling. Plywood is a sturdy material that resists sagging, warping, and splitting, making it the perfect fit for shelving in a variety of spaces. For sheds, garages, and other environments that aren’t climate-controlled, wood or plywood is a must, as moisture and humidity will cause MDF to warp over time. While MDF is the more wallet-friendly material, it should only be used for storing lighter items in a climate-controlled space. 

You can remove stripped screws with some elbow grease and an extractor kit for severe cases. Don’t forget to purchase replacement screws or hardware. In rare cases, cabinet handles may be glued on, in which case you can use a box cutter or similar knife and a pair of pliers to carefully remove the handle without damaging the cabinet. You may want to replace those handles entirely rather than try gluing them on again.
