I typically do after 5pm and on weekend side jobs since I work full time doing property maintenance 8 to 5 Monday through Friday. I do plumbing repairs such as drain snaking, toilet leaks, toilet rebuilds, leak repair, sink and faucet repair and other light plumbing duties. I do electrical repairs and light installation. Drywall repair, texture and painting. Pressure washing and some grounds keeping. I also work on some appliances and many other tasks. Just ask. I’ve been a maintenance technician for years. I’m honest and reliable, drug free and never had anything worse than a traffic violation.

Yes, you can use a dremel tool to cut plexiglass. Follow the instructions under “How to Cut Plexiglass with a Saw,” and use a dremel tool with a 561 bit instead of a saw.

After cutting Corian® to the right size, you may have to attach it to another piece of Corian®, either at a corner or another seam. One way to create the tightest seam is to place the two pieces of Corian® on a level surface at ⅜-inch apart. Run a router in between the two slabs to create an identical edge on both pieces. Then use the proper DuPont Joint Adhesive for your type of seam and countertop to join the Corian® together.

In most states, handypeople do not need to be licensed to perform simple home repair tasks and smaller jobs. When projects exceed specific cost amounts, however, ranging from $500 in California to $50,000 in other states, some municipalities consider them to be contractors, meaning they need to be licensed. To learn if your handyperson should be licensed to work on your job, contact your local governing body or state contractors’ licensing board before starting any work.

From drywall repair to fixture installations, pros address diverse home maintenance needs.

The average handyperson charges $50 to $150 per hour. The exact amount varies based on several factors, including where you live, the difficulty of the job, and the handyperson’s level of experience. Other factors like the cost of travel, permits, and materials might come into play, too. Customers should also anticipate a minimum flat rate of around two hours of work for a handyperson to agree to a job.
