Customers say: Quick response

"The Stafford brothers do top quality work for a reasonable price. They show up when they say they will and they work with precision. You will not have to worry about the quality of work if you hire these guys. They added 300 ft2 on to my home with a kitchen. It was a pretty major project for me. My wife and I are very pleased with these guys. They helped me out a lot and made the process easy. The Staffordâ s actually do all the carpentry work on the project. Most companies you will call will subcontract out the entire project and charge you a 15% fee on top. If your looking for top quality without getting gouged call these guys."

"Our New Fence turned out great. Replacing our gate was the best ideal from Joshua. Atlas work is top notch with a beautiful finish. We could not ask for a better job. We plan to share our fence with our neighbors to show Atlas professional skills. We would with no doubt hire this company again… Stan"

"K'Von and Frank were amazing to work with for this move. Both were very detailed oriented and took tremendous pride in the job they were doing. They went above and beyond for us to make the move as smooth as possible. My friend was moving from one assisted living facility to another in the next town over and the move was late afternoon which both were very respectful at the other residents well being by being very quiet not to disturb others. As we were about to head out, it began to storm, and the rain was so heavy that it was flooding. We all got soaked! Thank goodness by the time we made it to the new facility the rain had stopped. K'Von and Frank never missed a beat. They unloaded the U-Haul and placed items as requested. They did a phenomenal job and we'd definitely use their services again. K'Von and Frank, thank you from the bottom of my heart for y'all's work ethics and providing a service that most people dread and for a very reasonable rate."

Barndominium Builders FAQs, answered by experts

A simple A-frame chicken coop can take as little as three hours to build, but a more substantial all-in-one coop to house a large flock can take four or five days to build. Consult a local handyperson or custom coop builder for a time estimate based on the specific details of your project.

Depending on your needs, you may find a storebought pole barn is a much less expensive option than a custom-built one. You can find pole barn kits from big box retailers starting at $11,000, but you will be limited when it comes to size and add-on features. As long as you have the necessary skills, you can save on labor costs by doing it yourself; but there are a lot of different skill sets you would need, and mistakes during the building process can lead to excessive repair bills later.

While it’s best to have access to large, healthy, strong trees in a safe position, treehouse living is still possible without them. Contractors can fit tree posts to build the structure onto or use posts as additional support alongside the trees themselves. If you’re in doubt about the suitability of the trees on your land, consult with a local treehouse builder before you start the project.

You can use a variety of wood to build a barn door, but the most common options include 1-by boards and 2-by boards for the backing and the decorative boards on the front of the door. Softwoods like pine will save you some money and should hold up well, while hardwoods like maple and oak will stand up to more wear and tear. You could also build the backer out of plywood to minimize the cuts you need to make. Whatever you decide on, make sure the width of the wood is compatible with the mounting brackets you buy.

Due to the expansion of the tiny house movement, you can usually find tiny houses to buy in your state. Prices range considerably based on size, style, and type. If you’re looking for a tiny home that’s move-in ready, you may be able to find a good deal to buy or a prefab dealer near you.
