Yes, humans carry fleas. Although fleas are primarily associated with dogs and cats, they are attracted to the warmth and carbon dioxide of mammals, including humans. The difference is that most fleas will only choose animals as their hosts. They may bite humans, but they don’t tend to stick around on humans for long. The one exception is the Pulex irritans, also called the human flea, which prefers human blood.
You should not squish a roach because it can spread disease, attract more roaches, and release allergens. Roaches feed on the bodies of dead roaches, making more of them come. Squashing an individual roach only kills that one, whereas boric acid powder or baking soda can kill an entire population because it travels back to the nest before dying.
Spider mites don’t have too much in common with actual spiders, but these insects can absolutely destroy a lawn. Spider mites feed on grass roots and blades and are extremely effective at draining nutrients from plants, which can quickly kill grass. These mites are ravenous, so talk to a pest control pro at the first sign of spider mites in your lawn.
Cold winter months won’t always kill off fleas completely.
