"‼DO NOT RECOMMEND‼ A job that was initiated in February 2022 has just been "completed" this week after months of excuses, lies, evasion of communication, a lost liner, cigarettes in my yard, young children running around unattended on my farm (I had to pull the small child from behind my horse) no adult around, and a foul mouthed worker disrespecting my husband and we had him removed from our property. After going public with our experience, I have been contacted by multiple people with very similar stories. Seems it's never the fault of this company, people aren't understanding or patient or kind. They like to defend with the statement "We aren't trying to con anyone" #RedFlag So our "completed" job has left us with a second rate liner (not seamless) unfinished grout work which is revealed as you can feel the sharp objects through the liner as well as mounds of dirt and don't forget the staples because those are along the side of the liner. Oh!! And my favorite, they installed a $2,500 pump which we said we did NOT want!! Charged us for it today and walked away saying, "Oh yeah, that new pump ain't working. It won't switch on. You might need to check a breaker because I don't know what's wrong with it." ((There is no breaker off)) Our initial estimate was around $5,500...today's invoice left us with a total of $10,400......DO NOT FALL FOR THE WOE IS ME story of how they are just good people trying to make a living. ‼You've been warned‼ They are "cheap" and "available" when others aren't for a reason....."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

Most importantly, you should never cut corners when building a pool. Whether it’s an in-ground or aboveground, poorly constructed pools are dangerous to both the swimmers and your property. Leaks can even lead to home foundation damage. While you can DIY smaller elements of pool installation, always hire a contractor to oversee the process.

In most states, it is a legal requirement to have a fence around your pool. Laws vary by state and city, so check with your state and local government for regulations specific to you. Additionally, most homeowners' insurance providers will require some type of fence surrounding a residential pool before they provide coverage.

The safest pool fence depends on what you’re trying to protect against. If you’re concerned about children and pets, a fence with gaps between or under the material isn’t advisable, as they could get through it. Mesh fences tend to reach the height requirements needed for pool fence safety, although they are not the most durable. Solid fence types, such as wood, concrete, or stone have the best chance of protecting the surface area around a pool, so long as they are high enough to discourage anything, or anyone, from climbing over them.

If you have multiple rooms that could use some organization, home storage solutions like cubbies in your mudroom or built-in shelving can help you move clutter off the floor. Take it one step further by pairing shelves and cabinets with personalized aesthetic touches like woven or canvas lined metal baskets to add another organizational element.

If you live in an area where pool enclosures are expected, like in Florida, having one won't necessarily increase your home value. However, it's worth noting that in warm climates, a pool can add $11,600 to $95,000 to a home's value.

On the other hand, if you're in an area where pool enclosures are not common, having one might set your home apart from the crowd. Depending on the appraiser, you may see an additional $25,000 to $27,000 or more for an enclosed, inground pool when it comes time to sell.
