"I contracted them through a company called Lowes.  They came when they said they were going to come and measured precisely with no mistakes.  Installation was a breeze and they were very cordial when I contacted them.  If I had any questions I was able to ask them without any difficulty.  It was a good experience with them all the way around."

"Manuel and his partner were great and really knew what they were doing. I have never had a tub refinished before and was nervous about how it would turn out. But they both look brand new and amazing! They were extremely professional, showed up on time, and worked all day long. Extremely conscientious and paid attention to all of the details. No hidden fees. What they told me I would pay is what I paid. They didn't ask for any money up front to show up and start the job. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their bathtubs refinished."

"Nick has done excellent work from putting down my laminate tile to porcelain tile in the bathroom, painting, removing popcorn ceilings and redoing my bathroom. I would recommend him any day. He is fair with pricing and you won’t be disappointed"

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Sealed concrete countertops stand up well to everyday kitchen mishaps, including spills and burns. However, to prevent burn marks from forming, it’s best to use a hot pad or trivet under pans rather than placing them directly on the countertop. Learn the pros and cons of concrete countertops to decide if this material is right for your kitchen.

You can put hot pans on porcelain countertops. Porcelain is highly resistant to heat—it’s manufactured at around 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can withstand a ton of heat without cracking or damaging. Even though the high heat is a plus, you should still be cautious when putting hot surfaces on porcelain countertops.

Marble countertops can last from 20 to 100 years, making them an excellent choice for anyone looking for durability. The life span depends on several factors, including how well you take care of your marble countertops. Marble is a porous material, so it can require more upkeep than other countertop options.

Terrazzo is considered an eco-friendly and sustainable material because it is often made from recycled materials, such as chips of glass, marble, or polished metal, which helps reduce waste. While the epoxy resin used as a binder has its own environmental impact, it requires relatively low energy for production and does not release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) once fully cured, which helps lower the overall carbon footprint.

The frequency for sealing marble countertops depends on several factors, including the quality and color of the stone, the type of sealant used, and the amount of traffic the surface receives. Marble has a porous surface that requires sealing to maintain its shine and resist scratches. As a general rule, you should seal countertops at least once a year. However, for heavily used surfaces, like those in a busy kitchen or family bathroom, you may need to reseal them every three to six months. Conversely, countertops in a rarely used guest bathroom might only need resealing every few years.
