"Never seen such a hardworking and professional crew. Every foot of my new concrete driveway is perfect. Even fixed a broken corner of my carport. In one day they removed the old limestone, filled an old pond with it, graded the whole area for water drainage and placed the forms. Next day the concrete trucks came and J&R added metal expansion joints and smoothed out the concrete and is exactly what I wanted. If you need any concrete and forming done, you call J&R!"

"The concreteI had removed was twice as thick as I thought and not as I indicated to the contractor. The job was done, they didn't ask for additional money, though I offered more because the job was more than what was actually bid. They did a great job. Great attitude. I would hire them again in a heart beat."

"I cannot sing praises enough. I have finally found a company that does what it promises when it promises. I already have plans to hire them again. I had damaged concrete decking that had to be broken out and repoured. No damage to any surrounding areas. Work was done timely and professionally. Additional wood reworking done seamlessly"

"Other than a late start the team was focused and knowledgeable. They took great care to cleanly remove the damaged flooring and professionally install the replacement. It should be notes that the old flooring was incorrectly glued, making the task very tedious and difficult. The result is that you can't tell where the repair is without knowing its location. Well done."

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

Yes, but you’ll need reliable steel-cutting tools and safety gear to get started. Shipping containers are typically around ¾ inch thick, so it’s entirely possible to cut through them, but experience and the right equipment are very important. When possible, try to get a container as close to the size you want it as possible.

Yes, you can cut plexiglass by hand using a sharp knife or blade (utility knife, box cutter, glass cutter, etc.).

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

The average cost for a welding project is about $300, with typical costs ranging from $125 to $490. However, prices can be as low as $125 for very small jobs or exceed $1,200 for large or complex projects. Welders typically charge an hourly rate between $65 and $150, depending on their experience, and many charge a minimum fee to cover overhead and travel expenses. The total cost is influenced by several factors, including labor, the cost of materials like metal rods and shielding gas, the type of metal being welded, the project's size and complexity, and your geographic location. For a precise quote, it's best to ask a local welder for an estimate based on your specific project.
