"Chris and his team were great. I had them paint our master bedroom including all of the trim work and doors. We have a huge safe in our room and they moved it along with all the other furniture and made sure everything was covered before they started painting. They were finished a day earlier than I originally expected and everything turned out great!!"

"The experience was horrible. They came out to do a service for my microwave in April. They said they would replace it. But I had to wait until they can come back out to place it in. It was smaller then the original one. They asked me to measure my cabinets, so they had the measurement of space. But it was still too small. They told it back at supervisor request. Then they told me I had to paid back a restocking fee. I replied no, I just want a new microwave. They was able to accommodated me. Then They was to send a check. I got the check for 300 dollar. I started to look up built in microwave it was over 1800 to get. I had to paid the balance myself and get someone to put it in. I was paid 49.95 every month for the service. I asked them to cancel and they decline and told me I had to paid for the full year."

Cabinet Refacing and Refinishing questions, answered by experts

You can DIY cabinet painting to save on costs, but keep in mind that you’ll need skill, time, and patience to get smooth paint coverage. Additionally, removing existing varnish or other finishes can be labor-intensive. You’ll pay between $200 and $600 on paint and supplies to take on this job, depending on the paint type and quality.

If you have the skill and patience to tackle your cabinets, we say go for it. Otherwise, hiring a cabinet painter can save you the hassle of purchasing all of the supplies and the time (and labor) of painting.

It is cheaper to paint kitchen cabinets than to replace them. Painting costs range from $400 to $1,300, based on the size and complexity of the project and the average costs in your area. In contrast, replacing kitchen cabinets can cost several thousand dollars, including materials, installation, and potential modifications to countertops and plumbing.

Liquid sandpaper is a solvent used to soften existing layers of paint and make them porous enough that you can effectively apply a new coat of paint. You rub the liquid sandpaper on, wait for it to work, and wipe it off—no literal sanding is involved. Liquid sandpaper can save time and is helpful if parts of the cabinet are hard to reach with standard sandpaper. However, like paint stripper, liquid sandpaper creates dangerous fumes and must be used with care indoors. And unlike sanding, it can’t fix any scratches or dings in your cabinets.

You get the smoothest finish when painting cabinets with a paint sprayer, but you can also achieve a polished look with a high-quality paintbrush and roller. Repair and sand the cabinets before painting for the best result.

Refinishing cabinets requires a significant commitment, so even a professional will take between 40 and 120 hours on average to complete a cabinet refinishing project. In most cases, you’re looking at a week or more of work, although this depends on the number of cabinets you have and how many laborers will be working on the project. Whether you’re refinishing cabinets in your kitchen, bathroom, or office, you should plan on the room being at least partially out of commission for one to two weeks. DIY refinishing will usually take a month or two, depending on your expediency.
