"Within days of purchasing the deal, I received the instructions and paper to draw my table templates. The table has 2 drop leaves plus 2 additional leaves that can be inserted in the table. The templates were pretty easy to draw. The finished pads were delivered in a very short time. They fit the table and each of the 4 leaves perfectly and magnetically lock together to keep them aligned when on the table. A year and a half later, I still love these pads."

"It went great! I've used them before and they were so great I knew I wanted to hire them again. I like them because they are here when they say they are going to be here. They also call to confirm a day ahead of time! Everyone was professional and respectful of my property. I would highly recommend them to others."

"I had been away from my home for nine months and when I returned, I noticed that several landscaping lights were out. I called Outdoor Lighting Perspectives and even though I had the system installed years ago, they immediately offered to send a technician out to assess the problem. They came out today (2 weeks before I expected them) and pointed out a damaged ground fault plug and several burnt out bulbs. Incidentally, they replaced the bulbs at no cost! The tech, Ethan, was pleasant, professional and exceedingly helpful. This company has a quality product, clean installation and prompt customer service. I recommend them for your outdoor lighting projects without reservation."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

While most general electricians can repair lamps and light fixtures, it is often better to hire a lamp repair specialist. Many electricians prefer larger jobs, such as fixing electrical systems or relocating fixtures, and may not offer lamp repair services due to the small scale of the work. Additionally, some lamps, particularly antique models, require dedicated expertise that a general electrician might not have. A lamp repair specialist will be familiar with various types of fixtures and can provide a more dedicated service. If you have already hired an electrician for a larger project, you can ask them to look at your lamp, but for a standalone repair, a specialist is typically the best option.

Yes! As a matter of fact, there are many sensors that add motion to existing outdoor lights. These motion sensors attach to pre-existing flood lights and other outdoor lights without any fussy and potentially dangerous electrical work. Additionally, some flood lights and related fixtures ship with motion sensors built-in.

You can take a few steps to prolong the life of your holiday lights. Make sure to replace burnt-out bulbs as quickly as possible to avoid overloading the rest of the circuit and knocking out more lights. Before packing them up each year, plug each strand into the wall to confirm everything is still working. Wrap the lights carefully back into their original packaging or something similar—winding a strand tightly together or leaving it to hang loose in a storage bin can lead to frayed or damaged wiring.

Simple repairs like replacing bulbs can be DIY projects, but professionals should handle significant electrical repairs to ensure safety and compliance with electrical standards.

If you’ve gone through the troubleshooting checklist for your motion detector flood light and it’s still not working, it’s time to consider a new one. Older models that need frequent fixes can be unreliable. Newer flood lights feature advanced technology that improves your lights’ sensitivity and overall performance. If you’re fed up with unexpected darkness, investing in a new light can give you the lighting you need to feel secure.
