"I have used this company for approximately 12 + years.  They are family owned and operated and the nicest people.  They always show up on time, I'm always pleasantly suprised by the price.  They always measure and give me an estimate before they start, giving me the option of teflon coating and/or deoderizing.  They never push it, just give me the advantages and the options.   Then they vacuum the carpets, move the furniture and clean the carpets using their own water.  Then they rake the entire house(to work the teflon in and bring back the nap of the carpet).  The place always looks like I have new carpet again when they leave. I will always call this company to clean my carpets.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

In order to avoid long-lasting waves, indents, or sticking, it’s a good idea to wait at least 24 hours after fresh carpet is laid to put weighty furniture on top of it. However, you can begin walking on your new carpet right after it’s installed, and doing so can actually help it adhere to the floor better.

No, it works best under synthetic carpets in high-traffic or moisture-prone areas. Avoid using moisture barrier padding under natural fiber carpets like wool, which need air circulation. The barrier can trap the moisture against natural fibers and cause problems. Also, you can skip it in low-risk areas like upstairs guest bedrooms, where the extra protection often isn't worth the added cost.

Yes, there are plenty of ways to lay stair carpet without grippers, such as carpet adhesive, magnetic flooring, or staples. Adhesive may be your best bet if you don’t want grippers, as it will most likely stick the best and cause the least amount of damage. However, if you’re looking for an easy fix, grippers are one of the best solutions you can purchase.

The costs range from $3 to $10 per square foot, depending on the carpet type, labor, and subfloor preparation.

When deciding whether to repair or replace your carpet, consider its age, the extent of the damage, and its location. It's often best to replace the entire carpet if the damage is extensive, such as large sections needing replacement, or if it's caused by water, which can lead to mold problems. Similarly, if your carpet is nearing a decade old, replacement is likely the more logical choice. On the other hand, consider repairing your carpet if the damage is localized to one spot, like minor rips or snags, the carpet is still relatively new, or the damage is in a low-traffic area of your home.
