"I called Isaac to get a quote to take down our old deck and to build us a new one. We discussed different options. The most important one was to build it bigger. He gave us 3 possibilities. We took the one that had everything we had wanted, at an excellent price. It ook 3 days from start to finish. The first day was for tearing down. Then 2days to complete it. There was rain on the 3rd day, but it didn’t hinder their work. It’s a very nice deck. My wife and I love it. I would call on them again."

Emergency services offered

"Currently this is a father-daughter team that work really well together.  They arrived promptly and were sure to keep me posted telephonically for work appointments.  Dave has a quick understanding of tool & assemblage requirements, even with equipment he is initially unfamiliar with.  They did not waste time in order to extend pay periods, they were efficient and a pleasure to speak with.  I would suggest sending equipment nomenclature/info so they can research operational methods before appointment; I failed to do so but they still figured it out and it works wonderfully.  Its a storage space in garage and am maxing out the weight without concern if it was installed right because I know it was.

Pole Barn Builders questions, answered by experts

The foundation for a pole barn should be at least 36 inches thick to ensure that the piers won’t shift from frost heave.

If you can’t repair and repurpose your shed, it might be possible to sell it, donate it, or salvage parts rather than them just ending up in a landfill. Professional junk removal services will advise you on what can and will be recycled. You may also want to keep some parts to upcycle them for other projects around your home. Turning planks from your memory-filled wooden shed into a coffee table or bed headboard is good for the environment and the soul.

Whether you buy a prefabricated shed or build one depends on why you need it and where you stay. For instance, if a simple garden shed is what you’re after, it’ll be less expensive to buy one already built. But if you want a shed with windows, plumbing, and electric work, a custom-built unit might be more suited to your needs.

Yes, you can use a storage shed several ways, including as a chicken coop, but you'll need to make some modifications. You will have to add a chicken door, roosts, ventilation near the roof, mesh on the windows, and insulation if you live in a colder climate. Additionally, you’ll want to ensure that the shed is predator-proof so no other animals can harm your chickens. You should also add a run and nest boxes to your shed.

Common pitfalls include underestimating the cost of site preparation, overlooking permit and utility fees, and not setting aside funds for unexpected changes. Change orders during construction can disrupt your budget. It’s best to plan a detailed budget, obtain multiple quotes, and include a 10% to 15% contingency fund for unexpected expenses.
