"We had an old pond that needed to be revamped. It was tough trying to find someone to do it. Brian gave us a fair quote after coming out to see it. The work was done quickly, and my pond is now STUNNING. I cannot get over the difference! We had to take it all the way down and replace the liner. In the process Brian was able to move the waterfall and reconfigure the little stream that we had. We have two young, very rowdy pups and Brian is a dog person, too. He made changes that would look great but also stand up to swimming puppies. He is super nice and easy to work with. The fish were thrilled to be released into their new home, too. You should definitely call him for your project!"

"Our home is not the easiest to work on, because it is old and uneven. Kevin gave us a fair price and worked until the job was done (it was a hard job and took about 10 hours!). The work was excellent. The door was installed so much better than the other doors in our home and looks great! Thanks, Kevin!"

"We haven't always had the best luck with landscapers, but that changed with New-View. Very polite and knowledgeable team. Made sure to attend to every request and supplemented our requests with some creative imagination (we wanted perennial flowers and they chose some excellent ones). They were able to deliver their results within a day. For future landscaping work or maintenance, we will absolutely hire New-View again. Best landscapers we have ever worked with."

"I hired Mitchells to hang holiday wreaths from my first and second story outdoor windows. They completed the job exceptionally well for they took great care in hangning them to my specifications and went out of their way to be respectful and courteous-coming back a second time to be sure they did the job right."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Yes, natural pools can get algae since they use the same filtration processes as lakes or streams. However, you can reduce the risk of algae by adding more algae-fighting plants and not installing your natural swimming pool in direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.

Koi fish should be in the shade and can’t be directly exposed to the sun. Consider building your koi pond in a shaded spot or hanging an awning over the top to control the amount of sunlight coming in. Learn how to design a landscape properly.

Regularly clean pumps, remove debris, and monitor water levels to prevent algae growth and clogging.

Yes, your fish should stay alive in a frozen pond if you winterize it properly. By ensuring your pond has enough oxygen, good water quality, and a hole to release harmful gases, your pond and fish have the best chance of staying alive and healthy. However, if you have tropical fish, they should be overwintered indoors.

Even if you empty your pond before the winter, there’s a good chance it will refill naturally. It’s ideal in most cases, then, to leave water in your pond and winterize it instead. This method will prevent ice damage and protect wildlife. Plus, it’ll lessen the steps required to reopen your pond in the spring.
