"The service was GREAT. Definitely would hire him again, if needed. When I called to confirm, he told me that he couldn't get to my home until the afternoon of Thurs., Mar. 3, 2002 & was a good as his word ! He had a small, lightweight, remote track machine that went up my 45 degree angle front yard & ground up the maple tree stump like butter. When finished, Garcia loaded up his truck trailer & cleaned up all the tiny wood chips so they'd be on the mound of dirt which will settle in 3 weeks. I easily understood Garcia & he's very honest, AFFORDABLE, friendly, professional & insured. You & your wallet will love using him. Like me, you'll always want to keep him in mind for any professional tree service needs."

Customers say: Quality work

"Removed a very large tree with limbs overhanging our roof. Tree removal went very well. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is they did not cleanup after grinding the stump. I specifically asked for this to be done and they said they would be back the next day to remove the wood chips. They never returned."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

If debris from a tree located in a government-owned space (such as a sidewalk, public school, or government property) falls in your yard, it is the city’s or state government’s responsibility to have the debris cleaned up. On the other hand, most states only hold a neighbor liable for cleaning up their tree’s debris if they were negligent in caring for the tree.

Leaf removal isn’t usually necessary, and in fact, leaving leaves where they fall or mulching them instead can provide nutrients to your soil that can be good for your lawn and garden beds. Most homeowners prefer the look of a lawn that is neat and clean, though, so the majority of people prefer to pay for leaf removal. There are some cases where you might have to pay for leaf removal, like if you live in a strict homeowners association that mandates the service or a generally clean lawn.

Hiring professionals ensures efficient and responsible yard waste removal, protecting property aesthetics and ensuring regulatory compliance. They manage disposal or recycling effectively, reducing the homeowner’s burden of handling heavy or bulky materials.

Digging a bush up by the roots is the most natural DIY method for removing a bush stump. Start by identifying the shrub type and revealing its roots. Cut the shrub to its base and loosen the soil, ensuring no utility lines are nearby. Optionally, treat the base with herbicide, then dig around the roots and cut a circle around the shrub using various tools. Dig a trench, cut the base of the root ball, and finally fill the hole to prevent regrowth. This thorough process ensures complete removal without damaging surrounding areas.

Generally, it is not necessary to remove old mulch before applying a new layer. As organic mulch breaks down, it enriches the soil with nutrients. However, you should remove the old layer if it shows signs of fungus or disease, which can be common in moist areas, or if the total depth is already too thick. Avoid letting the total mulch depth exceed 3 inches, as this can harm plant roots. If you do remove old, disease-free mulch, it can be added to a compost pile.
