"The lifting and crack sealing of my driveway and front walkway/porch was fantastic. The driveway sank a little bit a couple of months after application and they came back to lift it free of charge. However, if you need concrete flatwork done, I would suggest going elsewhere. We had two corners that needed poured because they were too damaged to lift. They had to come out to repour three times in one year, and the concrete is already starting to crack again."

We are a locally-owned small business that has been doing mudjacking since 2017. Mudjacking is ALL that we do, not an add-on to several other services, which allows us to do it very well. A sinking foundation can be lifted, most often by installing piers to re-level and support the weight of the house. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. Consult a foundation repair pro to determine the best way to lift your sinking foundation. 

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.
