"While I was very pleased with the design and installation process, the post-installation service is not responsive. One day after going live, the new Franklin WH battery system that was recommended started causing issues with production. They have been out twice to work on it, but only after multiple contacts and pleading. Currently, I have a $24K battery system I had to power down just to keep the solar system going. Unfortunately, they recommended (and I agreed) to install this cutting edge solution based on faulty manufacturer advice. Supposedly it is compatible with Enphase but in reality it is not, so it is not not their fault. I just wish there was as much energy put into getting the system operational as there seems to be with getting the system installed."

"Tap Heating and Cooling came while I was at work and my wife was home taking care of our newborn. The technician, Jeff, was very polite and very quiet as well (as we had a newborn sleeping) which I found to be amazingly courteous. He performed the cleaning and inspection of our furnace very quickly and efficiently. When Jeff was finished, he let my wife know the the circuit board was mounted improperly, but that he went ahead and took care of it as it was a very simple fix. As well, a filter was included in this service. I had recently replaced our filter (not realizing I was going to take advantage of this awesome Angie's List deal) and he let my wife know that the filter was still good and that he left a new one next to the furnace for next time. We recently moved here, but Tap Heating and Cooling is for sure my go-to in the area from now on as they showed nothing but professionalism, honesty, and courteousness while in my home. Thanks Jeff and Tap Heating and Cooling, I'll see you in summer for my A/C tune up! "
"1st technician came out said he had to order parts and then never came back. 1 week later sears repair came and replaced defrost panel said it was fixed. I called two days later to say it still was not working. They said I had to pay 2nd service call, even though policy says if recurring for 30 days wouldn’t have to pay. Third technician said it was compressor and it couldn’t be fixed. So, now it been 2 1/2 weeks and still no working fridge. Now they offer only 600.00$ towards replacement and to get similar fridge it cost me 1200.00."
"In 90% of the time, they were able to get a contractor to my house the same day and get my problem solved. The other 10% were next day! Can't recommend them enough!"

Solar water heating systems are not one-size-fits-all. You'll likely work with a team of experts to get the job done—including solar panel installers, plumbers, and water heater installers. A specialist will help you decide if a passive or active system is best for your local weather, home layout, roof stability, and your budget.
The average cost to install solar panels is around $27,000, with most homeowners paying between $4,500 and $54,000. These prices don’t consider the federal investment tax credit (ITC), which can reduce costs by up to 30%. The final price depends on several factors, including the size of the system needed to offset your energy consumption, the amount of sunlight your home receives, your geographical location, the type and brand of panels, labor costs, and any add-on products like solar batteries or electric vehicle (EV) chargers. It is recommended to get price quotes from at least three solar companies in your area to find the best deal.
The best way to know if your roof can support solar panels is to hire a structural engineer. They’ll look at your roof and approve the design of your solar panel system or suggest changes. The best roofing for solar panels is made from strong materials like asphalt shingles and metal, but tile and gravel will work. Softer materials like thatch or temporary structures are not a good fit.
You can install solar panels on a metal roof, but it will require some additional thought and care versus a traditional asphalt shingle roof. That’s because heat dissipates off a metal roof differently than asphalt or wood, so you may need to space the panels further from the roof. However, a pro can help you with the details and provide a safe and effective installation.
Yes, a solar panel can power a TV without a battery, but only if the sun is shining and the panel is generating enough energy. Your solar panel and TV must have the same voltage, and you should install a charge controller and inverter between them so power surges don’t destroy your TV. To watch TV at night, in the early morning and late afternoon, and on cloudy days, your home must be tied to the power grid.
