Stucco is considered a type of cladding because it includes a built-in ventilation layer, a weatherproof membrane beneath that, and, often, a layer of insulation to improve building efficiency. If you live in an area that sees heavier rainfall, sealing your stucco siding every five to 10 years may be necessary.

On average, the cost of stucco siding is $5,600, and most homeowners pay between $2,200 and $9,100. Stucco prices depend on several factors, including labor and materials, the size and complexity of your home, your desired color and finish, and the popularity of stucco in your area.
