We are a full service home improvement company currently employing seven full time installers two part time installers three fulltime salesmen three part time sales personel. All of these people are employees of our company, covered by our insurance policies, and not relying on yours. We only use sub-contractors for certain concrete or roofing applications and we make sure they carry all the insurance needed for your protection. We offer free estimates. Once an agreement for our services has been reached and a contract has been signed we ask for a downpayment of 25-30% of the job total. The balance is do upon completion of the job and final approval by the customer.

"The windows and gutters seem o.k. The siding is very noisy and is continually popping and creaking. The noise is very annoying. The original vinyl siding made NO noise and DID NOT pop and creak. When a piece of siding blew off the house, one could see how the siding was installed. Please refer to attached photo."

Unless your cellulose insulation is wet, moldy, or showing signs of mildew or pests, there’s no need to remove it before adding new insulation on top of it. You don’t need to remove old insulation before adding new insulation. As long as the old insulation is still in good shape—not wet, physically damaged, or moldy—then you can stack new insulation on top of old insulation to get a compounding effect. You can also mix different types of insulation, like adding blown-in insulation around existing fiberglass batt insulation or installing rigid insulation boards over rafters in your attic that already have batt insulation installed. If your existing insulation is very old or damaged, though, you’ll likely see more benefit from removing it and replacing it instead.

Most insulation lasts 15 to 20 years, but it really depends on the type of insulation. Spray foam is a permanent insulation material that can last up to 100 years. Fiberglass and cellulose typically settle, shift, or deteriorate around 15 years. Once your insulation reaches the 15-year mark, it's time to check it for signs of needing to be replaced.

The most affordable way to insulate behind unfinished walls is to install fiberglass batts or rolls. These total around $0.75 per linear foot, with the width matching the gaps between standard studs perfectly. However, it’s important to consider the R-value of your insulation and the climate in your area, as fiberglass insulation isn’t the best in terms of preventing heat transfer. Plus, the most affordable option may cost more on electricity bills over time. The most affordable way to insulate behind finished walls is to leave them up and use blown-in insulation to avoid drywall replacement.
