"Quality of windows are good. Installation was not complete and wall was damaged. Had to finish/correct myself after 2 weeks with little response. Promised to look at other issues. Never returned."

"Great service by both the technician and the sales member who came to my house to provide a quote for the job. The quote did not change half way through the project as I've had some pros try in the past, instead they had the integrity to stick with the estimate and even adjusted it in our favor when they ran into a snag. Would HIGHLY recommend this business to any looking for a solution to their insulation problems!"

"Luis was very knowledgeable and did a wonderful job on our windows. I would recommend him and his company to anyone. He tinted four of our windows, and the difference afterward was amazing. I would recommend him to anyone wanting window tinting done."

Windows questions, answered by experts

There are several ways to reduce noise coming through your windows. You can seal gaps around the window frames with acoustic caulk or fresh weatherstripping to reduce noise and air leaks. Installing sound-dampening curtains, thick blinds, or shades can also help deaden sound vibrations. For an additional interior barrier, consider installing an acrylic or plexiglass sheet inside the window, which stifles sound while still allowing for outdoor views. Another strategy is to add external barriers, like dense shrubbery or a sturdy fence, to block neighborhood noises. If these methods are not effective enough, it might be time to install new noise-canceling windows.

There are several downsides to choosing casement windows for your home. Firstly, casement windows can cost significantly more than standard windows—especially if you need to install custom windows. If you plan on installing window AC units, then casement windows aren’t the best option, as it can be difficult to fit an AC unit into windows that open sideways or outwards.

The hinges on casement windows also pose a higher risk for break-ins, as rust and wear and tear can make the hardware easier for burglars to break into.

Typically, a bay window is, at minimum, 42 inches wide. That said, you can always design a custom bay window that is smaller—box bay windows are usually less than three feet in width and are ideal for smaller spaces.

You can add any type of window to a brick house, so long as the window has proper support. Windows with wider openings and windows in brick walls will need a lintel to support the extra weight above the window frame. A lintel is a support beam that distributes the weight from above evenly around the window.

Hot water removes grime more efficiently than cold water and evaporates more quickly so that your windows will dry faster. However, you may want to use cold water instead if your windowsill paint is chipping or peeling because heat can worsen this condition.
