"Placed order approximately 3 months before the work was performed. When I called to get a quote they responded very promptly and came out to give me a quote. I purchased the gutter helmet system on that day. The only problem was that they could not get out to do the install until 3 months later. I thought that was a very long wait time to get the product installed. At least I didn't have to pay for the gutter helmet guards until after they were installed. The installer showed up on the scheduled day and time just fine. He was very professional about his work and did a very good job. I am pleased with how the gutter helmet performs.

"Dustin was great and prompt getting out and looking at our roof and helping make the decision as far as what would work best for us. He was very easy to work with. The roofing crew was very courteous of our property and the clean up was great. I highly recommend giving Dustin a call for any roof or gutter issues!"

"We were treated with great respect and felt that our roofing contractor was readily responsive and truly cared about getting our roof replaced before any further damage occurred. They moved our project up and had our house and garage roofed in one day. The next week the rains began so the timing was perfect. Kaleb was in contact consistently from the moment we contacted him and until the job was done. He worked to keep the job fairly priced and was very knowledgable about the work, the building codes, and saved ys money when possible. The roofing crew was awesome. They were considerate and took great care to cover our yard and decks so nothing was disturbed. There was not a single piece of debris left when they were done. The crew that installed the guttering were wonderful and did a spectacular job. I never thought a roof could be beautiful, but ours is! We have recommended this company and will continue to do so. We are extremely satisfied with the company!"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Gutter repairs typically cost between $150 and $600. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the extent of the damage, the gutter material type, the accessibility of the damaged area, and the amount of labor required for the fix.

Buried downspouts can freeze during cold weather as cold water runs through them. If you’ve discovered your downspouts are frozen, you can carefully pour hot water down the top of the downspout to defrost them. If that doesn’t work, you may need to dig your downspout back up. Avoid trying to break the ice from the exterior using a hammer as this can cause cracks and damage to your downspout.

To avoid freezing the future, consider adding a heating cable to the exterior, which can adjust heat based on the surrounding temperature.

If you don't want to install gutter guards, the most common and inexpensive alternative is regular gutter cleaning, either annually, biannually, or as soon as they start to fill up. Using a leaf blower attachment can make this process easier. Other products designed to reduce cleanings include gutter screens (made of wire mesh, nylon, or foam), which are typically less expensive than a full gutter guard installation. You can also find guards and inserts designed specifically to protect your downspouts or opt for a whole gutter system like LeafGuard, which integrates the gutter and guard into a single product.

The duration of a repair job can range from a few hours to several days. Simpler issues may take 1-4 hours, while more complex work or extensive damage could take 1-3 days. The final timeline depends on the complexity of the problem, the extent of the damage, and the location of the work.

Properly installed gutters should be able to function normally in heavy rains. Allowing water to overflow can cause water damage around your home's basement or foundation. If the overflow is caused by a simple clog, paying a gutter cleaning cost of $125 to $250 may be enough to get the gutters running clear again. If there's a larger issue, you may need to repair or replace your gutters.
