Rick was able to break things down for us to be able to understand, which was very helpful. Shelley was awesome with scheduling the home inspection and very responsive when I had any questions. "Replace a roof at our home. Rob was extremely helpful in facilitating the replacement of our roof. He worked closely with our insurance company made sure the job was done on time and at cost. There are several different roofing contractors working our block but I would only use Eads"

"Everything went very well. During the initial inspection, Mr. Torres explained everything that would need to be done and the process of discovering all the contaminated areas and how they would be treated to eliminate the mold and preventing it from returning. A reasonable estimate of cost to perform the work was presented and accepted. Mr. Torres was very explicit as to what would be done and what would not be done. He was always very polite and true to his word. A time was scheduled to do the work which was accomplished very efficiently in one day. While the work was in progress, Mr. Torres kept us advised at each stage and invited us to inspect the work in progress. We are very pleased and intend to hire him again for follow up remedial work."

"Ben came for a free inspection and estimate and was very knowledgeable and honest about his business and line of work! He explained the chemical fog is safe and you can even be there when he performs the cleaning. He gave heads up of stains that would be left behind and would be cleaned up after the best he can. He even left me some HVAC tape to patch a hole in my vent! 10/10 would hire again and recommend."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Consider an annual inspection conducted by a local plumber to prevent dangerous and destructive leaks. If you recently moved into an older home or are concerned about the age of your gas lines, call an inspector for a closer look. You may also be required to call an inspector after your contractor installs a new line for an appliance.

While some homeowners may feel confident conducting their own roof inspections, hiring a professional roofing inspector is recommended for a safe and accurate assessment. Professional roof inspectors have the knowledge and experience to identify even the smallest signs of damage or potential issues and they can spot problems that may go unnoticed by an untrained eye.

It is generally recommended to schedule a professional plumbing inspection annually for an average home. However, the ideal frequency can vary. Newer homes may only require an inspection every two years, while older homes, or those with a history of plumbing problems, benefit from more frequent annual checkups. Other factors that might necessitate more frequent inspections include having hard water or mature trees on your property with extensive root systems that could damage sewer and water lines. Regular maintenance helps identify potential issues early, preventing costly repairs, and typically includes checking for leaks, inspecting connections, and ensuring pipes and fixtures are in good working condition to extend the life of your plumbing system.

Even if a homebuyer has no intention of using the fireplace installed in the home they’re thinking of buying, it’s vital to know when the fireplace and chimney were last inspected. Aside from learning that it can operate properly, homebuyers will want to know that the structures themselves are sound and won’t affect the integrity of the surrounding home. With full knowledge, homebuyers can then make plans for any necessary repairs before they move in.

Repiping your home creates a large mess, and you won’t have access to water while your contractors are working. To prepare, contractors will cover the floor and furniture with drop clothes. In some cases, they may move furniture to protect it and get it out of the way. They’ll then cut holes in your walls, floors, and ceiling to expose the existing pipes.

They’ll also turn off your water, but they’ll leave at least one bathroom and the kitchen functioning at the end of the day. You’ll need to plan accordingly.
