"Regal Flooring recently carpeted a large area of my home which consists of some heavy moving of furniture, etc. which they also did. I could not be more pleased with all aspects of work and professionalism of the personnel of Regal Flooring. They came in at 9:00 A.M. and waited while we placed my disable wife in the car and on her way to our sons house, for the day. There were five very nice and pleasant men (Chris, Russell, Brent, Derrick, and Glenn) came in and went to work. They were finished before 3:00 P.M. and I was amazed how great our home looked. They cleaned up and returned all furnishings back to the original location. They treated myself and my family members great such as asking if there were anything they could do for us. I can assure you that we will be calling on Regal Flooring for all our flooring needs. As a old retired soldier, I highly recommend Regal Flooring to my fellow veterans. They will do you a great job and also give a veterans discount."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpet tiles come with a preexisting adhesive backing, which means installing them is as simple as peeling off the paper and sticking them down where they need to go. In other words, no. You won’t need to purchase any separate glue to get your carpet squares situated. It’s already built into the carpet tile itself.

Carpet installation typically starts with removing the old flooring, preparing the subfloor, laying underpadding for cushioning, and securing the new carpet with tack strips, making precise cuts to fit room dimensions.

You can save money on labor costs by removing your old carpet before the professionals come in to install the new carpet. Just make sure to clear it with your contractor ahead of time. You might also be able to cut costs by buying carpet at certain times of year when it’s less expensive. These periods include late December to mid-January and late spring to early summer.

Installing carpet over carpet may negatively impact the resale value of your home. While it offers a quick fix, potential buyers may view it as a temporary solution rather than a long-term investment in quality flooring. Properly installed and maintained flooring adds value to a home, so removing the existing carpet and installing new flooring may be a better option to attract prospective buyers and maximize resale value.

No, it isn’t less expensive to install carpet compared to vinyl floors. The cost of installing carpet can range between $3 and $11 per square foot, so it falls just over the cost of installing vinyl flooring, at an average of $3 to $7 per square foot. High-quality carpeting can also range much higher, even up to $20 per square foot.
