Commercial / Residential Electrical Contractor, Factory Authorized Generac Power Systems Sales & Service Select Dealer / Installer, Warranty Provider. Free On-site Estimates! 24-HR Emergency Response. Knowledgeable, Dependable, Professional Service Guarantee!

"It took over 4 months to get it installed and then installation took 5 days, instead of two. All seemed to go well, and it did work when we needed it. Two weeks ago, I tried to turn on the gas fire. No gas. Called Clif but he was too busy to come out, so I called another company, who sent someone today. He discovered the the valve had been taped closed, so the fireplace would have been useless. I was never told of this. Then this service man said the gas line was not installed properly - but we could live with it, but there were no pressure gauges for gas appliances, and that would have to be disclosed if we sold the house. He installed those. I am now $900 poorer. In addition, the wiring that was done is not according to code for the second electrical panel and will have to be redone. That will be even more. Very scary."

We are a small local family owned and operated contracting company. We specialize in custom remodeling for residential customers.

"Please DO NOT HIRE. Andrew Spears preys on women. I had hired him for various small jobs to prepare my rental for sale. He claimed he could do and finish all work within two days , charging 500 a day plus supplies. He never showed on the first day but his two young sons did. They were limited to the extent of work they could do, stating their dad had the tools they needed to do the work. They had left the tub surround they had pulled out on my hard wood floors without any tarps. When I called Andrew to ask why he never called or showed he explained he had another project, when I asked if he was charging for a full day he said would only charge half day. On second day my husband came with me and Andrew's demeanor changed abruptly. After first day of work Andrew asked for 500 to pay for supplies, when asked for receipts he claimed it will all be on an invoice after work is done. Third day he asked for three days pay and still hadn't started vent on water heater, denying he said he would only charge half day for the day he never showed. Then proceeds to say I will have pay additional money when he comes back to fix water heater flue. His work was poor, left mess, totally disrespectful to my property, cut tile in our family room, when he was asked to come clean his mess and repair his poor work he had an attitude, was cleaning his construction mess with my home vacuum, my vacuum is now broke. He tried to make me feel guilty and accused my husband and I of lying. When asking for receipts he said the receipts were on bathroom wall referring to his work. As time went on and we hired others to repair his poor work we have found more and more flaws in his work, he had left hot wires in attic, fire hazard, tub tile he used wrong grout, uneven, did not seal and left too large of gap for the tub glaze guy to caulk, was never able to put recess lights in that he said he would, left drooping in ceiling where he drywall patched, list goes on , again when we approached him about the poor work had an attitude and argumentive. When he never showed for last part of job we asked him not to come back. Then he became defensive and threatened to put a lien on my house. Please stay away from this contractor."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

A steam shower goes in place of an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and functions as both a shower and a source of steam (at around 110 F). Because steam is involved, steam showers are classified as wet heat. ( Pro Tip: Never run the steam for more than 20 minutes at a time, as you may start to feel overheated and like you live in a swamp.) For any humidity-haters, saunas are enclosed spaces that can be put anywhere in the house and produce dry heat. That means they use electricity to power the heat rather than water to create steam.

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

Having a sauna at home may be considered a luxury to some homebuyers, which can give you a good return on investment. This, however, depends on the homebuyers. Some may not want to spend the extra time and cost of heating and maintaining a sauna.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.
