Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Keller about appraising a family heirloom (a victorian marble top desk) that was broken by movers. I have attached the correspondence below. However, I felt he did not take me serously at all. Please read from the bottom to the top and remember he never saw the desk... I would NEVER recommend using him. _______________________________________________________________________ About $200-$250. From: Pope, Sam [mailto:

Nor would it be worth as much as an intact piece. So I guess you are not interested in trying to appraise it as if it were not broken vs repaired. So I can have some idea of the market value that evaporated in front of my eyes. From: Scott Keller [mailto:

[email protected] Subject: Desk appraisal Hello Mr. Keller, I have/had a Victorian marble top desk (actually I think it was a big library table back in the day) that was broken by movers while moving it to Zionsville. The marble top that I had specially crated was dropped by the movers and broken. It is a family heirloom passed to me by my father who got it from his father. I have some antique experience and have never seen one like it before, and therefore have no idea how to value it, much less how to value the loss of the marble top alone. Is that something you would be interested in taking on? Thank you, Sam Phone 513 255-4617
