"I was fortunate to meet and hire Shannon Fields in 2018 to help me get my pond running again.à  à   My pond is about 500 gallons in size and has two waterfalls and many of the water plants à  à  had overgrown in my pond.à  à   Shannonà  à  went to work and pulled out the excessive growths and after sheltering my fish washed all the rocks in the pond and drained a large accumulation of pond debris. He cleaned my pond twice to get all the debris out and filled my pond again with clean water.à  à   By the next day the pond was clear again and the fish were returned to their quarters about 24 hours after the pond was hosed down. The goldfish took to their new quarters right away and 3 à  à ½ years later are still thriving and have reproduced.à  à   My pond continues to be clear and clean.à  à   Shannon made some thoughtful suggestions for redirecting the water flow and advised me on other features I would like to add.à  à   I observed that he works well, always shows up when expected and keeps in touch by cell phone. He cleans up after his work and always puts items back where they came from.à  à   He hasà  à   also done a good job of closing my pond at the end of the season.à  à   His fees are completely reasonable.à  à   I give him 5+ stars.à  à   Very nice person trying to do a good job and very interested in all aspects of pond installation and maintenance. "Had the service line from our house to the septic (under the driveway) replaced as it had pulled away from the tank (which we later found was due to the original installer not doing it right). They removed the concrete, replaced the service line and replaced the concrete after. They came out quick for a quote, used a camera to inspect the line (which was nearly half of the cost of all other quotes to run a camera) and found the damaged pipe. Was put on their schedule quick (luckily they had an opening so soon) and they performed quality work. Communication was great from start to end. I can't say enough good things about this company. A+ Service"

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

There are several signs that can indicate your leach lines are broken, failing, or in need of repair, including puddles of water or a marshy consistency to the ground above or around the pipes, slow drainage or plumbing backups inside your home, and noticeable odors or gurgling sounds coming from your leach field. Keeping your septic system properly maintained, including having your septic tank pumped at regular intervals, can help ensure your leach lines stay in good working order for a long time.

Your septic tank naturally contains the beneficial bacteria it needs to function, so you typically don't need to add more. However, if you wish to replenish the bacteria, you can use natural methods. For example, you can add three overripe tomatoes to your garbage disposal or flush 1/4 ounce of active yeast down the toilet every three months. While store-bought septic enzymes and chemicals are available, many experts consider them unnecessary and potentially harmful. The most effective way to maintain a healthy bacteria population is to avoid using chemical drain cleaners, which can kill the good bacteria in your system.

Some of the biggest symptoms of a drain field failure include a foul stench, backed-up toilets and drains, and mushy grass or standing water on top of the drain field. Also, if the grass above your leach field starts suddenly growing faster and looks thicker or healthier than the rest of your lawn, it could be a sign that it isn’t getting rid of waste properly.

A septic tank lid is often 1 foot underground, but it could be just 4 inches from the surface or 4 feet deep. For septic tank lids that are closer to the surface, you’ll have an easier time locating them just by looking for signs in the yard or using a metal probe. But for septic tanks that are buried deeper underground, you’ll need to hire a pro with specialized equipment to track down the lid without risk of damaging utility lines.

To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.
