Linton's was founded by our president, Mark B. Linton in 1982, as a small landscape installation company in Elkhart, IN. The '80's were a period of intense learning as our young company quickly developed itself, underwent incorporation and became committed to our trademark...Quality and Excellence! Over the years many divisions were added. Today Linton's maintains the feel of a small business by offering personal attention to you and your needs. In addition to our original landscape division, our company has matured to offer: Garden Centre, Floral and Gift Shoppe, Nursery and Landscape Maintenance. As always, we acknowledge that our success has been earned through the work of our Linton Team. Your One-Call, On-Time Electrican. Specializing in Same Day Service with a "Straight Up" Price. All Technicians Must Comply with stringent standards of Drug Testing and National Criminal Background Checks. All Technicians are in uniform and have an id badge for your security. No guessing on "how much" or "who is this person in my home".

"I had McCormick out to my home to install a lighted address sign under an existing sconce. The serviceman evaluated my request and, after approximately 10 minutes, presented a price of $565 for the installation of the sign. I told him I felt this number was high for the work to be performed. He explained that their pricing model was based on the completion of the job, not based on time and materials. He said that the cost of $565 was what it would take to install the sign, regardless of how long it actually took him or what materials were required. I agreed and signed an iPad based contract. Approximately one hour later, I received an email showing the refund of my payment and stating the following: Client called us out to home to install NEW lighting address sconce on front of home, after pulling apart existing light it was found that there is an approximate 6” of Brick and concrete behind this, unfortunately making it impossible to fish a wire to a new light without having masonry work done, surface mount wiring would also be an option. A voicemail was left to client and light fixtures were reinstalled as before. In summary, the job was more difficult than originally anticipated. Instead of hiring a subcontractor to properly complete the work, McCormick breached it's contract with me (as I had contracted for completion) and, without consent, refunded the paid amount to my credit card. It's a mystery to me why McCormick feels legally justified in breaching its contract when the work presents as more difficult than anticipated when they ask customers to sign a completion contract."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

If you’re drinking the water, you can store it indefinitely as long as you properly treat it and your container doesn’t break down. Without any treatment system, you should only leave rainwater in a rain barrel for up to four weeks. If you’re using the water on your garden or lawn, you can store your water until algae start to grow.

Regularly clean pumps, remove debris, and monitor water levels to prevent algae growth and clogging.

Most water features do not use a lot of electricity, averaging between 100 and 250 watts per day. The size of the motor can impact electricity usage. To reduce electricity usage, consider using a timer to turn the fountain off at night and when you’re away from your home. Solar power is another way to defray electricity costs after you recoup the cost of installing the solar components.

Installing an outdoor water fountain costs $2,700 on average, not including the cost of the unit. Prices range from $150 to $10,650, depending on your location, the type of fountain, size, and accessibility to the site. Self-contained fountains and water features recirculate the water within the unit. Depending on size and features like multi-tiered cascading bowls, they typically cost from $50 to $5,000. More elaborate fountains with waterfalls and ponds can cost from $450 to $10,000 or more.

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.
