"In spite of numerous negative reviews about Move Quick, Inc., I opted to hire this company for my move from West Virginia to Los Angeles. I spoke to Phillip, the manager/owner, who convinced me that the posted complaints had been resolved and were exaggerations. However, I, too, was subjected to an exaggerated low bid in order to snag my business. I, too, experience problems with the pick up and the delivery dates. The movers were a day late in arriving, then quoted me a 67% increase in price, from $3,100 to $5,200. BUT I was stuck. The company already had my deposit money. Also, I was charged for one flight of stairs and an exaggerated inaccurate measurement of my front door to the truck. I had been told there was no fee for one flight. I had provided exact measurements for the items in my two rooms of furniture. True, I had 51 boxes instead of 40 but that did not warrant such an increase in price, 67% almost $2,000. Delivery was also problematic. I had told Move Quick, Inc. that I would be at my new home 25 days after the pick up, October 30, 2019. That should have been more than enough time for any truck to drive cross country. They made me wait until December 4, 2020, a total of 25 days to drive 2,400 miles. I made the drive solo in 5 days. Communication with the company once they have your money is near to impossible. It took threats and 6 days for Philip to respond. He then provided an insignificant $75 discount. My recommendation: go with a larger company than can provide an accurate estimate and deliver within a reasonable time. Also, use a company that uses the industry standard of moving cost based on the weight of your items. Don’t let Phillip tell you his method of charging based on volume is better. No one else does this, for a reason. Other estimates I had received were in the $3,700 range.I should have Booked Elsewhere!”"

"Received quote and paid $2429.90 deposit. 1 week before scheduled pickup, they called and re-assessed the number of items in the house and bumped up the estimate by $4149. I cancelled the service because I had donated 25% of my house to charity and there were less items to move. However, they did not return my deposit of $2429.90 because they said that I did not cancel in time. They have pulled the bait and switch routine on others (B&B complaints). I would not advise anyone to use them for your moving services !!"

"Horrible! Company showed up with a trailer rather than a truck. When the trailer was full, they moved the furniture to new location, 3 miles away. They refused to go back and move the remaining items! When telling Roy, the owner, that I was happy to pay him to finish the job. He refused and said I had more than was originally agreed upon. He actually said this isn’t slavery where you can take advantage of my crew by adding items and expect them to work longer than expected. I was shocked by this response, especially in this racially charged climate in our country. I told him this us hardly slavery, when I’m paying you $210/hr. and expect to pay you for however long it takes to complete the move. He said he’d think about it and call me back. He never called me back. Later that evening, we realized our main flat screen TV was missing. I called and texted Roy letting him know. I recd a text 30 minutes later saying my TV was left in one of his crews car and he would bring it, but I needed to pay him for delivering it! This was the worst service experience I’ve ever had. This owner should not be in a service industry as he has no commitment to customer satisfaction, rather blamed me for having more items. I treated his crew with respect, offering them coffee and morning pastries, and we made every effort to make the move organized and easy, even carrying small items out to the driveway. The most disturbing thing was this owners attitude. Beyond belief."

"I cannot say enough nice things about this company. If I could give them 10176118 stars, I would. Kevin and Joe did an INCREDIBLE job. They Tetris-packed this truck to the brim to make sure we could do the entire move with one truck. I am almost positive that any other company would have made us go larger/add a 2nd truck. They got to Florida in TWO DAYS and unpacked/set-up in less than 3 hours. They packed this truck so well and so tight that not even a single item was damaged. We were shocked! "They showed up two hours late. We paid extra to have our property insured. After several pieces of furniture were damaged, we found out their insurance company does not exist. They drove my car instead of towing it because I had an extra 1,400 miles added. They were 36 hours late, and only one showed up to unload the truck instead of two, so I had to help him, so why am I paying you? Looking at their gas receipts on a map, they went way out of the way, my assumption is to go to casinos. They wouldn't answer their phone, after I left several phone messages, even when I used different phone numbers to call them."
