Auto World has been privately owned and operated for over 30 years. Our team has access to the most extensive training in the automotive industry and our technicians are ASE-certified for all areas of work performed. We service all vehicle makes and models.

"It was great! I love them. They have good customer service, they have drop off and pick up and they were able to fix my car instead of offering a new tire. They also gave reasonable pricing."

Perpetua Iron represents 59 years of experience in metalcraft. We design, build and install decorative wrought iron and architectural components to custom specifications. We also repair and restore existing ironwork. Perpetua Iron has two veteran designers/fabricators on staff and may subcontract work out to one of a few trusted fabricators as our workload demands. We work with customers to develop the design, fabricate the work with an eye to detail, then carefully and sensitively install the work on site. Two of our owners are dedicated home renovators, so we are familiar with the demands that old railing and old homes present. Because of this background, we work well with do-it-yourselfers, rehabbers, renovators and home improvement professionals. We provide free design consultations and are prompt with bids. We know your time is valuable and will never take you or your business for granted. We specialize in custom-built ornamental ironwork, but are also skilled in installing prefabricated components, repairing rusted or damaged railing and gates, and matching existing metal design elements. Perpetua Iron is not a misspelling - we named the company after Perpetua, a woman who was martyred in the 3rd century for refusing to denounce her beliefs. We thought it was about time that this iron maiden had an iron business named after her.

Welding questions, answered by experts

You should pick steel for your new support beam for a few reasons. While steel is more expensive than other materials, such as laminated veneer lumber or glulam, it offers the following benefits:

  • Fire-resistant

  • Unaffected by pests

  • Longer-lasting

  • Stronger against water damage (when galvanized against rust)

Some welding projects, such as repairing pipes or fences, require travel, whereas others, like furniture repair, do not necessarily require the welder to come to you. Travel and overhead factor into the overall cost of your welding project. Some of the most common welding projects include:

  • Metal furniture repair: $35–$100

  • Pipe repair: $200–$1,000

  • Small gates: $550–$750

  • Fencing: $1,200–$1,800

  • Fabricated sheet metal welding: $750–$2,500

Most projects take 1-4 weeks, depending on material sourcing, design intricacy, and required finishing treatments like powder coating or galvanization.

Lally columns are named after their founder, John Lally, who owned a construction company in the 1800s. He invented the columns as a means of providing temporary support for beams and rafters in homes his company was renovating. The original Lally columns were also made of steel, although the inventory used a thicker gauge metal, which provided additional support for larger projects and long-term structural solutions.

Yes, professional fabricators can create custom pieces, including railings, sculptures, signage, and architectural elements.
