Last month I posted a review after an unsatisfactory experience with work performed by KCB on a property our nonprofit organization is rehabbing for veterans in East St. Louis, IL. After communicating with Nicole at KCB she assured me that the issues would be resolved. Edwin returned to the worksite and corrected all the issues I pointed out. KCB sincerely apologized for the delay and mentioned that would have come sooner, but they had been extremely busy with jobs in the area. Although the experience got off to a rocky start, I must say that KCB stepped up and provided top notch professionalism in rectifying the matter to our satisfaction. The craftmanship & attention to detail displayed by KCB upon returning to resolve the issues is clearly the reason why I contacted them initially. I would recommend KCB to anyone seeking masonry & tuckpointing on a job of this size.

The customer service follow-up has been subpar, but they have been paid for their service. I need the issues corrected as my nonprofit organization is rehabbing housing for veterans. I chose them based on the ratings they have online, but I am wondering now who wrote them. I have sent emails w/pics, text messages and phone calls, but I have received NOTHING but hollow promises that the issues would be addressed. I would hate to think this is happening because the property is in a predominantly African-American, low income community, but I am running out of reasons as to why my issues havenâ t been addressed but KCB has received their payment for services rendered.

Easy and affordable

I recently had the pleasure of working with Edwin and his team from KCB Masonry, and I must say, the experience was really good! From start to finish, they were professional and had a strong attention to detail. They were a pleasure to work with; very friendly, approachable, and mindful of the standards for repointing historic masonry. After multiple estimates from multiple companies, it was refreshing to have a company already knew about Type N pre-mixed mortar and have real experience in it use! Throughout the project, they maintained excellent communication and made sure that all my concerns and preferences were taken into account. One aspect that particularly stood out was the cleanliness of their work. I was pleasantly surprised by how meticulously they cleaned up after themselves, leaving my property and my neighbor's property spotless. It can be quite disheartening to see a messy construction site, but KCB Masonry exceeded my expectations in this regard. Did I mention that they arrived at their stated time andcompleted the project within the agreed-upon timeframe? Yep, they did! Office person Nicole made the entire process smooth and hassle-free. There was a bit of wait for the work to start but, it sas definitely worth it. I would encourage anyone seeking quality masonry work to consider KCB. If you're in need of reliable, skilled masonry professionals, look no further!

I was very happy with these folks. I booked them for a small tuckpointing job, and their estimate was competitive with other groups but more comprehensive in what they did. They got me done extremely quickly. The workmen initially missed one spot we had talked about during the estimate, and when I pointed it out, they quickly called the manager and finished that part of the job right away. Overall great way to conduct business and great job.

They were very professional: always prompt, communicated well, and did a very good job. Would hire again.

Very professional. Very efficient. The guys checked in and made sure that the style of tuckpointing was what we wanted. I didn't even know there were different styles, so he showed us examples of each, gave us the explanation of the pros and cons of each, then matched the color of the old mortar. They were great.

They answered all of my questions. They brought a 6 man crew and finished a fairly large job in three days. The work is excellent and the clean up was just as good.

We hired KCB to grind out and tuckpoint a huge interior mid-century modern brick fireplace wall that had numerous cracks and some tacky previous repairs. It was a messy job, but they took every precaution to minimize the dust. They were extremely meticulous in their work, and the finished wall looks amazing. They were also very thorough in cleaning up after the job. We could not have been more pleased, and we have alrrady contracted with them to replace part of our patio later this month.

Solid work and a significantly nicer sidewalk than I was expecting.

KCB Masonry & Tuckpointing did an amazing job! They listened to what I wanted to have done and made sure that it made sense for our yard. I had them install some concrete steps from scratch in my backyard. They were a fraction of the cost compared to the other guys that claimed that they were the best in the biz. These guys showed up for the quotes and job as they said they would. I lost count how many times they used levels and tape measures to get everything right. Just imagine watching someone make one tiny tweak to what they are doing and then level and measure every time. Well worth the money and I will hire them again. I will recommend to family and friends as well. Do yourself a favor and hire these guys, you’ll be happy that you did. I am! I’d give 10 Stars for the rating if I could.

They were quick, did a great job & cleaned up when finished. They matched existing brick work so perfectly that if you didn't know they had been there you'd never have guessed. I highly recommend this company

Responsive, courteous focused on job 100% the entire time until completion. Good quality workmanship.

They gave a reasonable quote and specified some items that a previous contractor did not do, like cleanup of work and construction materials dumped on the roof. I would say that is beyond what I needed from them but I am glad they also fixed those items too as part of the job
