"Amy and Mike responded immediately to my request to come out to discuss the work I wanted done regarding my popcorn ceilings. They gave me an estimate within 24 hours. When I decided to hire them I was put on their schedule, and they actually got to my job a week earlier than projected. They answered every question I had leading up to the work they did, and always responded within an hour or less. Tim and Aaron were the men who did our job. They were diligent in doing their job, and respectful of our home. They made sure everything was covered and protected before starting the job. They were always on time, and worked only on our job until it was completed. As unpleasant as it is to have a project going on in your home, I'm really glad Tim and Aaron were the ones doing the job. They were delightful."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Sometimes, homeowners choose to install their pool on concrete, foam tiles, or patio pavers. Leveled dirt is also fine, as long as it’s not sod or grass. Regardless, you’ll need to install sand as a buffer to prevent your liner from tearing. Some pool installers also use a protective foam pool pad.

You can place a pool alarm on the surface of the water or mounter underwater with motion detectors. Alarms placed on the surface will alert you if it detects wave movement. If mounted below the surface, known as "sub-surface,” the alarm detects changes in water pressure.

You can install an aboveground pool on various surfaces, including dirt, sand, concrete, and grass. You can’t install a pool on an uneven surface, though, so be sure to level the ground before building your pool. You also can’t install your pool on top of a rocky surface. Three or 4 inches of smooth sand or soil is the ideal surface to go under an aboveground pool.

Generally speaking, you should expect to wait 24 to 48 hours after filling a pool before you use it. However, the actual timeline depends on a few factors. Most importantly, you need to shock the water with chlorine or an alternative to swimming pool chlorine and let the concentration come down to a safe level before using the pool. Additionally, most water sources will be cold, and it can take days before the sun or your pool heater warms your water to a comfortable temperature. Alternatively, getting water professionally delivered could have you swimming in just a few hours.

Pool leaks most commonly occur at joints or where different materials meet. The most frequent leak spots include:

  • The Pool Skimmer: Where the plastic skimmer meets the pool's liner or shell.

  • The Pool Liner: Tears can develop in vinyl liners, especially those between 5 and 20 years old. Leaks also occur around the liner's edge.

  • Fittings and Accessories: Areas around return lines, the main drain, and pool lights are common culprits.

  • Pool Equipment: The pump, filter, and filter housing can also leak.

While leaks in underground pipes are less common, they can be costly to fix. It's usually best to check the more common spots before investigating the plumbing system.
