"Paulo and Sons were quick with a quote and were able to complete the job quickly and for a great price. Since we were having stumps ground they asked that we get our utilities marked by JULIE; other pros didn't even suggest this; Paulo and Sons are thinking about safety first! Once our yard was marked, I called and they came to complete the job in less than 24 hours. They removed 4 arborvitae (10-18 feet tall) and trimmed a crab apple tree. Great work and would not hesitate to call again!"

"We had a very large tree that needed to be removed in our backyard with very tight excess to it. Deven and the crew did a great job, no, they did an excellent job. From cutting down the tree to removal of all the limbs and grinding out the two stumps it was done very professionally. This company does and follows thru with everything they promise to do. We are so happy with the respectful way they treated us and our property. I would highly recommend this company. They are Great!"

"Fidel and his crew did an excellent job. Trees were approximately 60-70 feet tall maples. The trees were down and the lawn was spotless.it started to rain and they kept going. I’ve hired Fidel before and I would recommend him to anyone. I give them five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Victor Toro's men came this morning and did a wonderful job digging up old evergreens. They cleaned up after with a leaf blower and broom. I ran to Home Depot and bought four small bushes and they planted them in the place of the old bushes. They are reasonably priced, polite hardworking men. I will be hiring them again!! So thankful to find, through Angi, a good reliable landscaping company."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

It could be anywhere from weeks to years for a dead tree to fall. A dead tree falls based on its weight, how it leans, the state of its roots, the state of decay, and what local windstorms are like, among other factors. Since it’s hard to predict the fall’s timing, it’s important to cut down a dead tree quickly and avoid any unpleasant surprises.

For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

Lightning can cause massive damage, fires, and openings for other threats like bugs or fungal diseases. Barring any large fires or explosions, it’s difficult to tell how much damage a lightning strike has done until after a thorough inspection. Contact local authorities immediately if lightning strikes a tree in your yard and it causes a fire or explosion.

You can find pruning paints and sealants for trees, but you shouldn’t use them on a topped tree. Coatings like these often inhibit the tree’s healing process. An important exception is if there are dangerous fungi nearby that the tree is particularly vulnerable to, like oaks and oak wilt. Sealing cuts can help prevent fungi from taking root.

Your local government is usually in charge of pruning trees on public property, and the power company is responsible for trees near power lines (even if they’re on your property). Whether or not they top these trees depends on their approach to pruning. You won’t be able to do much to control this, but you can contact them to find out more about their pruning process.
