"Overall, the carpets were very clean when they left. However, I felt that I had been "upsold" on the cleaning and ended up paying a lot more than I wanted to have my carpets cleaned. I was told that due to the type of carpet I have, it would need a "deep clean" because the regular clean covered by by Groupon wouldn't clean it well enough. The guy was pretty big, and obviously knows my home, so I felt intimidated and didn't want to say no. Plus I was told there were stains that might not come out with the regular clean and I really didn't want him to leave and still have stains so I went ahead with the deep clean...an extra $100+ that I wasn't expecting to spend.  (I was debating going with the regular clean to see if they'd come out but was afraid they'd just leave the stains to make a point.)
He was friendly enough, and out in less than two hours, but combined with the hard sell and forgetting the duct inspection, I was really turned off and I wouldn't recommend him nor will I use this company again.

"XD Pro did an excellent job cleaning our office week after week for quite some time. We had concrete floors and the polish/wax made it look as good as new every time. I would definitely recommend XD Pro to anyone in need of floor cleaning/polishing. They are fast, efficient, friendly, and very affordable."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, it can definitely be worth it to steam clean a couch if you have the means. Steam cleaning a couch will improve your couch’s look, remove allergens and debris, and sanitize the upholstery. If you hire a professional house cleaner, they can take care of steam cleaning a couch for you, as well as get your house cleaned and looking brand-new.

Yes, it is possible to over-shampoo a carpet or overuse a carpet cleaner, which can cause more harm than good. Applying too much cleaning solution (oversaturation) or shampooing too frequently can damage the carpet. Potential negative effects include leaving behind a sticky residue that attracts more dirt, weakening the carpet fibers, and causing a worn appearance, which can shorten the carpet's lifespan. Furthermore, oversaturating the carpet can hinder the drying process, leading to discoloration, shrinking, tearing, and an increased risk of mold or mildew growth.

Use of harnesses and ladders ensures safe roof access.

Some of the worst and hardest stains to remove from carpets include dark-colored spills like red wine, coffee, blood, and ink. These can permanently discolor the carpet, especially if they aren't treated immediately, and are particularly visible on light-colored carpets. Bleach is also one of the worst culprits, as it causes near-instant color loss that cannot be restored through cleaning. For most tough stains, if DIY methods don't work, a professional carpet cleaner may be able to help. However, for bleach stains, the best option is often to dye or replace the affected area.

The timeline for smoke damage remediation can range from a single day to several months, depending on the extent of the damage, the size of the affected area, and the methods used. For minor damage, such as removing cigarette smoke odors from a single room, the process might take only one to two days and typically involves deep cleaning, painting, and sealing walls. Some methods, like ozone treatments, can take 24 to 48 hours, though multiple treatments may be necessary. More extensive smoke damage, such as from a house fire, can take three weeks or longer to clean and treat. If significant material restoration or replacement is needed, the timeline can extend to six to 12 months. A smoke damage restoration professional can provide a more accurate estimate for your specific situation.
